It's no secret that UGA fans have strong opinions on Bobo. (For and against). My question for ya'll is what were your thoughts on him when he was coaching your offenses? Did you like him? Why? If not, why? As rivals of the Bulldogs, are you happy/sad/indifferent about him leading our offense again?

I’m neither, but all of CFB was happy when Kirbs hired him back.

Pretty sure both didn’t like him. I think Auburn fans weren’t quite as harsh on him because their HC (Harsin) was an offensive guy.

Tough to gauge his time here at Auburn given how abysmal we were program-wide. But I’ll just say I’m not sad he’s coaching your offense and not ours.

I don’t think he did some amazing job with Auburn, but

1. He improved Bo Nix over what Gus had done, even if it was just incremental improvement.
2. He was probably the best coach on staff during Harsin’s entire tenure, for whatever that’s worth.

2021 before Bo got hurt had it’s ups and downs but the offense had some good moments right up until halftime of the State debacle. Bo got hurt after that and TJ Finley was not even close to an SEC QB.

I questioned his hire when it was made. Didn't care for him overall but he was a decent play caller. Not great, not bad and with the right tools he produces. The way he left here though after being kept showed some lack of character. Don't blame a guy for leaving for more money but how he did it shows his flaws as a person. Now as to him being at UGA, he and Muschamp both are where they need to be, coordinators and not head coaches. They both have shown a knack for coaching at the coordinator level. They make good halftime adjustments and should serve UGA well overall but their negatives may be a detriment in the long run. Bobo though, can get in a play calling rut and I would expect Kirby to pull him out of it when needed.

Things didn't go well when he was here, but I feel like any offensive coordinator we had during the Gus years operated in a Gus "frame"...and that generally wasn't something that put up numbers down the stretch. I know he loved the endzone fade.

Because of Mike Bobo, Muschamp didn't have a chance of retaining his job in the 2020 season. For that I'm grateful.

As an OC, he was trash. Not too mention that he chased off a very talented QB for us, just so he could install his mediocre QB from Colorado State because, "he already knew the offense."

Bobo is hot garbage. We tried to warn you guys. I know he did well when he was at UGA before, but the world has changed.

He has shite for talent at both stops (and was handcuffed by harsin) so both fanbase are going to claim he sucks.

Good guy. Just seemed to have a thick playroom but didn't really run an offense. Just randomly called plays.

I have no opinion as I have blocked out every memory of the harsin regime. I'll defer to uga and usc fans on his worth.

I thought his play calling was shite. How much of that was Harsin? No idea. Like another Auburn fan said.........I am glad he is calling your O and not ours.

Fourth and one.....lets pull tank off the field and throw to some unknown TE from around midfield. I was out after that.

Weren’t happy with him, but in hindsight it probably wasn’t his fault.

If it was Bobo that would continually sit Tank right as he was really heating up and tearing thru a defense then yes…he’s garbage.

Not sure however if that was Harsin or Bobo but Bobo was the OC. But I’d melt if he was ever hired back at Auburn.

As an AU guy, we thought he did fairly well considering that Gus had let recruiting slip and hadnt recruited a single O lineman in 3 years.

Bobo had to constantly fight with Harsin to get shite done, so he was at a disadvantage there. (There was a lot of chaos behind the scenes with Harsin, even in his first season).

But he did make some boneheaded calls from time to time, one which probably lost us a game. He was like Gus in that regard.

We don't know for sure what happened before he left. He might have been fired because Harsin was desperate or he might have walked because he didn't want to deal with a dictator who hadn't yet won shite. It's one thing to be an ahole boss when you are dominating (like Saban), but it's another when you haven't done shite. Ain't no employee gonna put up with that when they have other options.

Not great. Definitely better than Satterfield but that isn't saying much.

I kind of liked the Bobo offense until he would inexplicably quit running the ball (See the 2021 USCe game that we had no business losing)

I was thrilled to see him leave Auburn. His substandard play calling cost us at least two games.
