We literally stopped throwing the ball. Roydell was the reason we moved the chains.

It was more like two quarters, and the end of the game we took the air out the ball so... also he spent the week at practice running 3rd string. It's a total cluster no doubt but hopefully Ty starts next week after a complete week getting reps with the ones and he protects the ball and finds a way to do enough to win like a McElroy or maybe even a McCarron

I think at one point Ty was 4 for 4 before then.

Seriously…where is the best place to put Milroe if he’s done at QB? People keep saying TE, but can he catch the ball?

Can he play D?

4 for 4?!!! Oh well then.. print the cups cause we're winning the natty with a RS freshman that was once 4 for 4 with 0 TD and 30 yards.

The guy you want had the worst PFF passing grade last year of all college QBs with at least 75 dropbacks.

To be fair Florida A&M had much better pass protection.

Ty isn’t the answer

I can see why you say that after todays performance.

And Jalen should play a lot moving forward

But can’t see how you come to this conclusion after seeing him vs Texas.

At this point, play either, not Buckner. But it doesn’t matter who it is as long as the o-line plays like watery shite. Fat, slow and dumb. The defense played fine today sans a few plays they let the qb escape. But the o-line is pure flinging monkey shite.

Ty us much better than Buchner but he isn't better than Milroe.

Milroe will never progress passed being a one read QB. Ty isn’t where we need him to be but he has shown the potential to get there.

I just wish Simpson had gotten the start and played the whole game. I think Buchner threw the whole team out of whack from the jump.

Buchner and Simpson looked below average against USF. All other analysis is noise. But I don't care about any of that. That's not the problem.

Rees is lost. I have no idea what he's trying to do. There was a plan against MTSU. We ran it and screened them and when they came up to stop that we threw it over their heads. That's a football strategy. It's been random ever since. And two weeks in a row, something about the way we operate is tipping off the defense. Player stance. Formation. Cadence. They know run or pass. I don't know if this is fixable in season.

Simpson was light years better than Buchner.

First snap he got...buddy was in the backfield but somehow he got rid of it which was a heads up play.

Milroe needs to transfer to a smaller school with good QB coaching. That's what he needs.

You people are crazy if you think Simpson looked like our best option.

Milroe is our best option. With all his deficiencies.

It sucks.

But Simpson absolutely does not give us our best chances to win. I honestly feel like I'm taking crazy pills seeing people think that.

We are mediocre with the potential to have a big play down field with Milroe.

With the other two? We are straight up BAD.

If it wasn't for Roydell Williams we likely wouldn't have scored as much as we did. Against fricking USF.

Milroe just threw another interception.

Our line played better the first two games than they did in this one.

Have you lost your mind?

I guess we just want to win games not championships?

Your never winning one with Jalen Milroe at QB.

I think Simpson actually played pretty decent. Once he hit a few passes, it loosened up the defense a bit and Roydell took over. Granted we're talking about an improvement from "completely nonfunctional" offense with Buckner...against one of the worst programs in FBS.

Pass protection consistently a problem and no QB is going to flourish with this kind of offensive line play. We could start Milroe or Simpson and I doubt it makes a ton of difference v. Ole Miss if the OL play is no better than this showing. An offense simply cannot operate with line play as poor as Alabama's.

My hunch is Milroe is our best option though. Simpson is bad in practice but clearly more of a gamer than Buckner. He should be the man on the field if Milroe gets dinged.
