To be fair, they haven't played many of them.

2001: Syracuse. AU lost 31-14
2002: USC. AU lost 24-17
2003: Georgia Tech. AU lost 17-3
2008: West Virginia. AU lost 34-17.
2011: Clemson. AU lost 38-24
2014: Kansas St. AU won 20-14
2017: Clemson. AU lost 14-6
2021: Penn St. AU lost 28-20

1-7

Yes, not good. But AU played USC who was dominating the country at that time. The two Clemson loses were to Dabo coached teams (Clemson had at least 10 wins both seasons). 2021 Penn St. was a good team and we had Potato coaching.

WVU is understandable as the team was in chaos that season with Franklin, Tubs duck hunting, and all that mess.

2001 Syracuse was a game AU has no business losing, but it was 11 days after 911. I don't think anyone's mind was on football.

EDIT: I left out GA Tech in 2003 but edited my post. I must have misread the schedule and saw "Georgia" and skipped over it. Yeah, AU has no business losing to GA Tech in the modern era.
