I haven't seen him since he became a superstar, but I saw him once when he was first starting to get popular. He was one of the opening acts for Brooks and Dunn's big Neon Circus tour in 2001. Pretty much then he was only really known for ballads like Your Everything and But for the Grace of God.

Then in the middle of his set, he breaks into this extended jam of classic guitar riffs like Smoke on the Water, Sweet Home Alabama, etc. He was the first artist on the bill (followed by Montgomery Gentry, Toby Keith, and then B&D) and let me tell you, that got the crowd fired up.
