35:36 there with were kind of tossing the ball around he was in the back of the end zone and I was just outside out on like 20 or something and
35:43 I throw it from like the 20 and hit the goal post and Willie Taggart at the time was it was head coach right he
35:50 pulls up in the golf cart and he's like dang man nice throw like hit it again I was like what do you mean he's like
35:56 throw it and hit it again so I was like all right so I threw it from a 20 hit it again he reaches out his hand he's like
36:03congratulations you've earned a scholarship offer wow and I mean I was blown away like it was first offer
Awestruck, I never know what the hell you are talking about. Like never, no mattter the subject nor how big or small your post is. Sometimes I get a feeling you are saying something smart, but it always goes above my head because you have a vernacular that is light on specifics and sloppy in grammar. Did you do LSD back in the day? Why do you do things the way that you do?

I didn’t know either, so I went to figure it out
I think he pulled the transcript of a podcast/YouTube video that that WarRapport did with Geriner, Robby, and Luke Deal.
Geriner told a story about when he went to an FSU camp injured, but was messing around and hit goal post twice from the 20 while in a boot, and Taggart gave him a scholarship from his golf cart
That was it

That is pretty cool. There was footage of Jalen Milroe doin that, so I guess that is a fools gold QB test that is picking up steam.
I like the QB competitions with the moving targets via golf cart or something. I don't know why that stuff never took off in college.

A big topic lately has been the option routes.. Camden Brown came out and said that a lot of what they are doing are option routes..
There are specific option routes, then there are normal play calls in which receivers have to understand which different options are available based on the coverages, alignment, backpedal/hip flips..
It's more complex than it sounds. It can be boiled down to "taking what the defense gives you."
Below is a clip from Liberty's win over Arkansas last season.
This play was not your typical option route, but the receiver knew he could break off his route due to the coverage.
1. He knew he had a safety playing off of him over the slot.
2. He pressed that safety with his route (ran toward him to keep him moving backward).
3. He waited for the hip flip. When the safety decided it was time to flip and run, then the receiver breaks his route off to the open space. He knows it will be open because the outside receiver hitches up to keep that corner down.
4. The quarterback was on the same page and delivered a timely ball when the receiver broke off the route. It turns into almost a smash concept when really the receiver took what was allowed. The concept is not hard, the execution takes time.
5. If the coverage had been tighter, meaning there would be no safety over the top, he would take it deep. Same play call, could have a different result for the route based on coverage. That's what Auburn's receivers are in the process of learning right now.

Kinda sounds like backyard ball Am I wrong?

Actually that's RPO football. QB reads the read man. The WR and QB read the coverage that will determine the route run in the RPO.

And this is where we really dont know what is happening with the QB race. Suppose the receiver had the option to run a skinny post or a crossing pattern, he runs the post, the safety picks him up, but at the point of break the QB throws the ball thinking he is crossing because it is wide open.....he bounces it five yards in front of the receiver.
It looks like a bad pass when in effect the QB made the right decision and the receiver the wrong one.

Freeze was definitely more pissed about the WRs then he was the QBs.

Not quite. The slot receiver is able to break off his route only because he knows the outside receiver is running a hitch/any route that wouldn’t also be going to that area. Not every receiver on every play is going to have the freedom to just run wherever they feel like.
WRs are going to have to have a much better understandings of plays to do this well so they aren’t running into the same area as other guys and knowing where to be looking for gaps in the defense. But this is how most sophisticated passing offenses operate.

I love this flexibility. This is NFL stuff allowing our WRs to think and change course on the fly.
This also requires QB-WR chemistry. We need a QB1 stat!

For sure. Both of them have to see the same thing. I fully expect early to see some throws that seem like they’re going to nobody.

You just said yesterday we had plenty of time to decide.

Fact pattern changed. Your guy had receivers do roles lol.

I'm gonna keep beating this drum. If we can't remotely stop the run it's not gonna matter who we have at QB.
Our run defense looked terrible in a-day. Sounds like we couldn't tackle in the scrimmage.
Also sounds like one of the scoring drives was 6 runs then a pass for a TD.
Is it gonna be worse or better to lose 43-38 or 43-28?

I was just frickin with you. We've had 8 fall practices.
Once we get down to 2 QBs the chemistry will increase. Then a true evaluation can really be made. Then it will be a split something like 80% for the starter 20% for the backup and chemistry increases even more. Plus the same WRs will be working in the 2 deep as well.
I still stand by someone of the 3 gets cut out Thursday.

My expectations are pretty low here. LB scares me and DL isn’t that deep with talent. Rogers coming in and being out of shape hurts us.

Will add 2 projected starting WRs were out in the scrimmage.
Camden Brown and Var Johnson. Camden is gonna drop like a rock in breaking into the lineup if he doesn't get that hammy healthy quickly. Var will be back and hasn't missed much time so he should be good. There will be plenty of rotation at the slot depending on much development and how quickly Burton picks up the offense.

Jayson Jones just isn't good. Rogers is probably 20-30 pounds overweight.
Probably wont take long to realize that even a hair undersized currently that Sledge, L. Johnson, and Kite might be better at a 1I spot instead of using a 0-Tech

Thats kind, if he lost the excess weight he might be a safety.
Freeze said when he purposely got out of hurry up, the defense stopped the offense.
So maybe it is the fact the defense does not have its assignments and responsibilities figured out, if not every team now knows to run a hurry up against us
