Alabama's golden boy knows what's coming -- the orange crush. Bevo is going to run the show in the SEC, but first we have this season. Most know what's going to happen. Ewers will lead the charge this year while understudy Manning learns a few things before he dominates. We will run through the Big 12 to show everyone who is king.

Prepare yourselves for the inevitable takeover of the SEC by the TEXAS LONGHORNS.

What's actually happening is McElroy is making a bold prediction that Texas will win 10 games this season.

Which they should easily do every year in the Big 12.

I'll give you credit....

You sure know to post in volume.

Texas will remain in mediocrity for years to come. Should have just gone independent, like you've always wanted to be. No one wants to pick you on their team...

Of all the Texas alters, I think the OP is the least inventive.

Top 5 Bama QBs of the Saban era (in my opinion):
- Young
- Tua
- McCarron
- Jones
- Hurts

I'm not going to rank the top 100 Bama players of the Saban era, but it's conceivable McElroy would be the sixth or seventh QB on the list (to me, he and Sims are right neck and neck). I'm not sure he'd be in the top 100 players, but I think it would be close.

Coker actually contributed to his national title win. McElroy had one of the worst performances I've ever seen in a title game (6-11 for 58 yards and what felt like 10 sacks.)

Dude needed to throw for like 50 yards to beat Texas in the national title.

They could’ve put an armless child out there at QB and beaten Texas.

Like others have said, he is far from being one of our Golden Boys! In fact, maybe that is why he is such an anti-homer in the media.
He goes out of his way to pick against Alabama, he always has negative comments about Alabama, and given his comments no one would ever guess he actually played at Alabama.

Wasn't he playing with broken ribs? I guess the alternative was good ol' Star Jackson.

McElroy > Coker, IYAM, given McElroy's longevity and recall he pretty much set all of Alabama single-season passing records in the 2010 season (they've since been broken many times).

Furthermore, Coker only took meaningful snaps in 15 games, while McElroy took meaningful snaps in 27. I could see favoring Coker if his 15 games were like Cam Newton's few games as an Auburn Tiger, but they weren't.

Finally, if you want to talk championship game performances, I don't think you should overlook McElroy's play against Florida in the 2009 SEC Championship Game, although Coker was excellent in his final three games in Tuscaloosa.
