I didn't realize he was that much older than me. I guess I didn't expect such a prolific poster to be that old. So sorry for his family and friends

I was also born in Huntsville. Rest in peace TS1.

Wow!! I thought about him the other day, I haven’t been on the recruiting page that much this year but always remembered he would bring the information… RIP TS1, you will be missed! RTR

He was by far one of the best posters on here and always kept a level head. He will most definitely be missed

Recruiting thread hasn’t been the same without him. He always did so much. You will be missed Surge. Praying for your family. RTR

Damn. I never knew he was a Huntsville native and fellow UAH alum.

Rest in peace bud. Been reading his stuff on several sites for almost 20 years. Glad he got to enjoy this run.

RIP, Tidal Surge 1. This is very sad news. No matter how much we love Bama sports and bicker with each other having someone pass away is above all else. There is no doubt that he loved Alabama sports and football in particular. He was dedicated and always posting updates. Rest in crimson peace, brother.

That's really sad. Surge was a pillar of the community and from everything we could tell a good guy. His contributions will be missed for sure.

Accidentally posted this on tRant thread, meant to post it here since I don't usually go over there.
I remember the time Surge posted a very in-depth breakdown of super conferences and what that might look like with scheduling and all. I was the first response with an idea that I thought was a counter point. Apparently, it was too off-topic for him, he nuked the thread and started it again with something like: "Let's try this again and can we PLEASE keep it on topic this time?!?!?"
He was one of a kind and I really enjoyed what he brought to the board. Sorry I ticked you off that time, Surge, RIP brother.

I truly hate to see this. Surge did a great job with the recruiting board and took it seriously… very seriously. He was full of knowledge and love for Alabama.
I enjoyed riling him up. Things won’t be the same without him. RIP
