They've only played once, and Kelly had a roster patched together by duct tape and prayer.

It's almost as if people can make more accurate picks once the season has been played, huh?

I remember when Tennessee fans were telling everybody that they would decimate Georgia when they made the playoffs after their loss to us.

Then UT played South Carolina.

It is just as surreal that UGA fans don’t realize how bad that looks for Kirby

Which sums up the worth of preseason picks.

It probably is the other way around.

How bad is it that Orgeron won 1 championship with Burrow while Smart won 2 with Bennett?

You aren't thinking things through properly.

Absolutely. It does give everybody something to talk about and can give a little clearer picture of how the season could play out.

Jermaine Burton being on these lists, especially 1st team, will never not be funny. On a team with #1 overall draft pick playing QB and no dominant WR, Burton puts up a 27/498/4 line in 9 power five games. Against Texas, Tennessee and LSU, he posts a combined line of 6/78/0.

But suddenly in his 4th season, with Tommy Rees at OC and Jalen Milroe at QB, he’ll put 1st team All SEC numbers. Lmao.

No. Kelly and Kirby have faced off 3 times. I mean, go ahead and pull out the "Not while he was at LSU!" card. But then Orgeron is not at LSU either anymore. Fact remains, that Kelly, your current coach, has faced Kirby three times and not beaten him.

If Orgeron beating Kirby in his 3rd and 4th year as a head coach is brag worthy then so be it. And let's not forget. It took the "greatest team to ever grace college football" to win one of those matchups.

My man, if thoughtful and well reasoned discussion is what you are looking for, you picked the wrong place.

I used to at least hope that someone wouldn’t shite in their own hand and then smear it all over the mirror here. But then someone shattered the shitty mirror so we don’t even have that anymore.

I mean, do they think the next time we play them Orgeron will be on the sideline, or do they just have a deep seated dread to have Kelly on their sideline when they face us next? ?

So we return a veteran QB, RB and a couple dynamic receivers like Walley and Tolu Griffin and only one makes it and that’s on 4th team? An offense built by Leach?

bullshite

Your defense is going to be much better than your offense this year.

Even more odd that our All-SEC transfer is missing from all 4 teams.

Agreed. He may become a superstar this season miraculously, but to this point, he's done absolutely nothing to merit any team All SEC. If Bama is going to truly contend, he's going to have to step up.

I don't think anyone at Alabama thinks he should be on any 1st team All SEC lists.

At UGA, he was plus in getting off the line of scrimmage. Better than average initial separation.

He was also plus getting separation at getting late separation attacking the ball.

But he wasn't elite speed (not the speed that Bama has witnessed the past 5 seasons). Initial separation didn't stand a DB with good recovery.

And we used him in ways that he just wasn't good at (screens. He's not quick enough or strong enough).

And he wasn't plus hands at UGA (2018 INT against Bama was a tip drill crossing the middle).

He is in the Hall of Good.
He left for a better scheme.
But he did get passed up by other receivers at UGA (Dom Blaylock on the screens. Ladd mcconkey on the deeper routes).
