In Radio, the little girl playing Ed Harris' daughter that knows more about football than most middle-aged men is what makes that movie cute.

A lot of them are so far off the real story that they are hard to watch (Invincible, Brian's song, Remember the Titans) but some are really put together well.

Not a football movie but has some elements of football betting by one character...Baja Oklahoma. Tommy Earl Browner (William Forsythe) is a reprobate sports better and TCU fan...has a classic, in my opinion, line about betting on soccer "You can't bet on soccer...no one ever drops on a loose ball...."
By the way, if you ain't read Dan Jenkins it is a good idea to do so before Texas and Oklahoma become SEC foes...give you a good idea of the kinds of characters they will be bringing to town....

that story line was great LOL. The whole movie was good in my opinion. It is probably seen as a white savior story today but I enjoyed it LOL...

Beyond what has been mentioned, I liked Invincible with Mark Wahlberg. They recreated the old Texas stadium in Irving nearly perfectly through CGI and it brought me back to watching the end of the Landy era as a kiddo.

I liked Blind Side...I suspect it is frowned upon but I enjoyed it...

I liked Everyone's All American even if John Goodman does run a fumble back against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl LOL. He gets his in the end so its all good. Can't believe some LSU fans ain't mentioned this one...

Friday Night Lights
Based on a "true story" (there were a few embellishments in certain games to make the story more dramatic) and the music is fantastic.
Personally, I liked the movie a lot more than the show. But the show was good, too
The biggest shame of that movie is the director turning the Carter Cowboys into a sort super-street trash team rather than focusing on the more amazing aspect that it had 3 future NFL players and more than a third of the team getting D-1 offers.
I remember watching Carter dominate Converse Judson on TV the next week in the 5A title game.
And little known fact, that Carter team barely survived against Marshall the week before due to a guy named Odell Beckham Senior running wild through that NFL quality defense. Jessie Armstead went two way and caught the winning TD despite wearing a cast on his hand.

Everybody's All American is sad to me. You just feel really sorry for him as he ages and sees his former glory just fading away and his great memories are forgotten by the young generations. Tries to make a comeback and that falls flat. It's a bit depressing.

I'm not familiar with 'the Express' ?
The story of Ernie Davis who was the first black Heisman winner. Its a true story and he has some hurdles to overcome that have nothing to do with being black so I don't categorize it as woke but some might just cuz in general its a story about a black guy overcoming racism.
