After your fanbase gets a couple of years of away game examples of how we roll here, I suspect you'll see a big step up in your tailgating. Because you're not going to want to embarrass yourselves when we come there and get out tailgated on your own campus by the away teams.
Either that or you'll be Missouri with a couple more wins per year. Nobody wants that.

I'll also say that our fans don't really talk shite, which is something that some SEC fanbases seem to revel in (cough LSU cough). That might be a bit of a culture shock for some of us.
This. Like every fanbase, we have our dipshits, but overall its more watch the game in a fairly subdued manner and sort of win or lose in a respectful manner.

Be prepared for it - not just at LSU - but at Florida, Georgia, Auburn also.

though I think our party scene/tailgate culture will improve in the SEC
I’m looking forward to OU coming to Auburn in 2024, and returning to trip to Norman. I went to college station when A&M joined the conference to check it out and had a great time. Haven’t been to Missouri, because why the frick would anyone go there. If SEC schools were restaurants, they’d be Bob Evans.

The university ruined all tailgating when it started to make everyone buy tailgating tickets. So if you don’t pay you don’t party. As for the horse pig mascots they should be sent to Arkansas. Everyone here hates them

most. Meaning winning the game is way more important than the party. This is true for everyone but the students.
The result is that the crowd isn't terribly intimidating. Can get loud on occasion but it isn't sustained. Timeouts have no crowd energy. Everybody rests.
Hey that's our thing

They have 1 title since 1986. One title in 37 years.
There others were 1950, 1955,1956, 1974,1975 and 1985.
They were great back in our grandpas day.
LSU, Florida and UGA all have better programs since most of this board was alive and understood football.
OU will struggle with this move. It will be similar to Arkansas but not as bad

They also have 11 top 5 finishes in the last 37 years. A lot of schools in this league don't have 11 top 5 finishes all-time, led alone since 1985.
Last year was the first time they didn't finish in the top 10 since 2014.

A lot of schools in the SEC haven’t gotten to play that cakewalk schedule. Big difference pal.
Anytime they have played a legit team recently they get steamrolled.
Also, OU was like Bama and the king of NIL before NIL. Now everyone pays.
Bama is at least close to the talent and has the goat coach

They have not been one of the handful of elite teams nationally, but they've been very good.
2022 - #10 FSU (L)
2021 - #22 Oregon (W)
2019 - #1 LSU (L)
2018 - #1 Alabama (L), #19 Army (W)
2017 - #3 Georgia (L), @ #5 Ohio State (W)
2016 - #6 Ohio State (L), #24 Auburn (W)
2015 - #1 Clemson (L), @ #22 Tennessee (W)
2014 - #17 Clemson (L)
2013 - #7 Alabama (W), @ #20 Notre Dame (W)
2012 - #2 Notre Dame (L), #5 Texas A&M (L)
Over the last 10 years they are 1-6 vs non-Big XII teams that finished in the Top 5. They are 6-2 vs non-Big XII teams that finished between #6 and #25.
That's a very good program that isn't quite elite of the elite. Certainly not a terrible one propped up by a weak league that would go 7-5 elsewhere.
All 5 of those losses since 2015 outside of a subpar team last year are to Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State and 2019 LSU. Ain't a lot of other programs beating those teams in those years, either.

Thanks for the unbiased snapshot of our program. We’ve been very good against everyone but a handful of the elite teams.
You did forget our loss to #10 FSU in the bowl game last year, but we also played them super close with like half of our team so I’m not sure it doesn’t actually help our resume.

If the comments from OU fans are any indication I think I am going to like OU coming to the SEC. Seems like ya"ll don't take yourselves too seriously.

Rocky Top gets a bit old too.
I can't stand schools that play the same damn song.
FSU and the chop comes to mind.
They could be punting on 4th and 30 and their band only knows one tune.

This is due to the typical home schedule for the past 20 years. Our 2 biggest OOC home games in that entire timeframe were Bama, Miami, and Ohio State. And those crowds were amped. Our biggest conference game is Texas at a neutral site.
Our home schedule has sucked for 2 decades, but that’s about to change and I can’t wait.
