Only concern is UNC coming to Baum to return the favor from last season
UNC is the most talented team in the ISU regional for sure. Starting pitching has been a problem this year but those guys will be jacked for another shot at Arkansas.

Personally, I would prefer they put the numbers in a hat and pull them out two at a time. But, that goes against being #1 has its advantage and would not deserve to have to face #2.
Alabama getting screwed makes perfect sense when you realize the chair of the committee is Auburn’s little bitch AD.

I’m glad there’s an SEC team between Wake and Omaha. I didn’t think there would be.

My southern Miss friend was whining about USM not hosting and SEC bias. I asked him well didn’t USM go 0-3 vs the SEC including losing to MSU and OM who were terrible?
That shut him up
That shut him up

Not to rub salt in the wound but Nicholls has a legit ace Friday night starter

Yea we played USM and Troy 3 times in the regular season and whipped up on them pretty good.
Not always the fairest comparison because their midweek arms are almost always lesser quality, but when it's your only data point it is what it is.

Alabama getting a 16 seed is partial payback for their Alabama softball team getting a 5 seed nationally plus hosting when they were a 5 seed SEC tournament team. Plus their softball team got one of the weakest sets of regional and super-regional opponents. AU beat Alabama 2 out of 3 in Tuscaloosa, was a better seed in the SEC tournament, and then was sent to Clemson (again). At least Alabama is hosting.
What does Alabama/Auburn softball have to do with Alabama getting screwed with its baseball seeding in comparison to Indiana State, Coastal Carolina, and Auburn?
If Alabama softball was overseeded it wasn't by much. Probably should have been and #7 or #8 seed inatead of a #5 seed but that's about it. Northwestern won the Big Ten and was far by no means a weak Super Regional opponent.
I'm glad Alabama is hosting but that doesn't negate the fact we got hosed on pur seeding and matchups. We open with arguably the best #4 seed Nichols State of any region host and other than Tennessee probably the toughest #2 seed.
FTR, I think Auburn as a #13 seed is spot on. I just think Indiana State should have been a 16 seed, Coast Carolina a 14 seed, and Alabama an 11 seed based on the resumes of those 3 teams

Looks like 9-16 is arbitrary and more about the matchups they wanted and then filled in the numbers.
This. All about the match ups they think will generate the most overall revenue.

I think Bama could take out WF to get to Omaha. Bama's got the offense and enough pitching.

Wake's pitching is uniquely nasty, so it'd be a really tough super.

So Alabama beats Auburn 3 out of 4 games this season, has a higher RPI, and finished with a 40-19 record to their 34-21-1 record and somehow they're the #13 seed while Alabama is the #16 seed ??
Now do softball.

Don’t know how any regionals will shake out
LSU got lucky with UK pairing. They are the least hot of the SEC teams in the field
