No, he is still way upside down on his contract with the Aggies.

Fact: LSU offered Jimbo a raise to leave A&M and coach at LSU, and he told them to kick bricks.

Yeah, this didn't happen at all.

It didn’t? The smoke regarding LSU’s advances was so heavy that Jimbo had to come out publicly and clear the air that he wasn’t leaving.
The fact that you know LSU clearly wanted Jimbo has something to do with your obsession with A&M football, right?
I understand how that could happen, and it’s ok to admit it.

LSU never made an offer to Jimbo.
All of the "smoke" came from Looch to justify that ridiculous extension.

I get the whole “no official offer” safety net, but still not buying that overtures weren’t made.
How many LSU fans on here were bragging that Woodward was going to own A&M on that one…?
Jimbo isn’t going to do a painful presser to talk about it publicly just to satisfy Liucci…
Edit: agree to disagree

Woodward spoke to Jimbo's agent to gauge interest but that was the extent of the official contact.
There was literally no reason for Jimbo to come to LSU, he had a head start on building the program at A&M so he was already in a better situation, he had a massive guaranteed contract, and a job with lower expectations.

The average football fan is a dumbass.

LSU offers Jimbo 8 year 125 million contract
You sure are uninformed for someone who covers college football.

That's a false report.
It's a Bleacher Report article who is quoting McMurphy who got his information from Looch and ran with it.
Looch is full of shite, he also reported Brian Kelly's salary immediately after Kelly was hired and was way off.

You might want to find a more reliable source than the Bleacher Report. Jimbo burned his bridges with LSU in 2016 when Alleva offered him the job and he turned it down at the 11th hour to stay at FSU. LSU's Board of Supervisors was not going to approve another deal for him to come to LSU.

This plus Woodward had promised a splash hire.
It would've been impossible to sell Jimbo to the fanbase after O's lame duck coaching staff beat him with a team absent many of its starters.

So why was Woodward reaching out to Jimbo’s agent to gauge interest again?
Posted on 4/26/23 at 12:01 pm to SidewalkTiger
Reaching out to gauge interest with no intentions makes a ton of sense, yeah?

He reached out in the early stages to a lot of coaches who wouldn't have been hired ultimately.
