I’d think he is a 4 on our system but not sure what Bruce is selling him on

Denver Jones is officially an Auburn Tiger.

Looking at his numbers, you’d think he played the 4. He only shot 46 threes in 32 games and he only made 11. Shot 41% from the field but didn’t take a ton of shots. Hit 82% from the line.

For comparison, Jaylin put up 113 threes and exactly 100 more shots total.

He's too light in the britches to play the 4 imo. He might would play there some if we go small but the majority of his minutes would be as a wing

The more I see of the portal and what I've heard are AU targets, the more I hope we can keep Jaylin.

JLee posted an update on Olivari stating he doesn't expect Auburn to push for him since we landed Denver Jones.

He said it was either Jones or Olivari not both and since we landed Jones he doesn't expect us to push for Olivari.

In other news Handlogten committed to UF

So other than Oquendo and maybe Phillips, any other big targets out there?

I don’t understand this. A 5th year senior at the pg position is exactly what we need. If Aden or Trey get hurt we are screwed and I personally just don’t like Tre playing significant minutes. He made some shots, but was awful at getting us into our offense.

Trey will make a significant jump in year 2. He’s capable. The reality is we won’t have the minutes to split across 3 PG’s.

Hard to sell a 5th year senior to come to a place that has a 5 star prospect coming in and another soph PG returning who started to come on at the end of the season

He named a final four of AU, Xavier, Miami and Texas.

Xavier just signed a transfer pg yesterday and Texas has a deeper backcourt than we do. I don’t know what Miami returns, but he will have to share minutes at all these schools. Will be interesting to see where he lands.

Keep an eye on Makenzie Mgbako who was just released from his LOI from Duke.

#7 Nationally and #2 PF, what a get he would be, looks like AU and everybody else had offered him originally.

Current thinking is it would be a surprise for him to not go to a Nike school

JLee has stated AU is not pushing for Olivari. Took Denver and we’re happy with that. Focus shifting to the front court now.

I don’t understand this. We don’t have a 3? We riding with Chris Moore and Lior there? Yikes. We have JW and Broome/Cardwell

Agreed, considering we have at least 5 scholarships to fill, seems we still have a great need at the 3 as well as the 4.
