Locked On guys talking about how good Fairweather is. Said Holden sailed a ball, and he was still able to jump up and snag it.
P.S.
Ashford was starting QB, Scooter 2nd, Holden 3rd. I’m afraid if Scooter is running 2nd team. Somebody hold me.

support Robby but if you can’t tell the difference in throwing mechanics then I don’t know what to tell you to help you.
Regardless, if Holden wasn’t any more serviceable than Robby at Robby’s low point then I’m not holding my breath. And the lows occurred at point where the coach had already shown he was fine benching star QBs. To double down on that, Robby did show some good signs to finish off the year as well.
Robby won’t be the next great or anything but he is clearly the best we got.

Locked On guys said Holden is way behind from what they saw at practice yesterday. I didn’t think he’d unseat Ashford, but I sure was praying he’d be ahead of Scooter. Said the Oline is of course still thin, but the new talent is much better than what we had last year. Landen King was playing in the Y position instead of inside (interesting). My boy M’ba is now playing DE and was running with first team (I’m looking forward to him playing more this year).

Yall must not have listened to Freeze's post practice scrimmage. Freeze said no positions have a 1, 2 or 3. Yall are reading way to much in the first day of practice and not even in pads. Everyone will get the same amount of reps.
I have no idea who looked best or looked poor. I posted all the videos I could find.

They were at practice, and that was their opinion.

Scooter getting the same amount of reps is a waste of time, unless Holden is just not that good.

It's day 1 with a new staff. We have 14 more practices today. I think we should all just enjoy the ride. We should all be pulling for whoever is the best and will serve the team the best to rise to the top regardless of who it is.

Freeze really gets the PR part of being the head ball coach. Hardly misses an opportunity to stroke the boosters.
You caught that too Mike, eh. Good for him, heck they spent 90 million on the place nice for someone to publicly say thank you, its what you thought it would be boss we love it.
Funny these are the same boosters some "fans" always want to bitch about.

First day of practice and some have chosen the starting QB

Well, we do have a returning starter...

I mean, was anyone expecting anything different for the first day of practice?

People said similar about Bo. Can’t hold all the variables against Ashford.

The word is the o-line stole the show the first day and Avery Jones is the real deal, looks like a NFL lineman.

This is what I want to hear!

I like the possible A-Day format.
I think its a good idea also. How will the possessions work though? I just read a bit from Freeze about rotating players and he didnt care who played so long as they held the offense to under 24. Will they have continuous play from the same offense and defense and rotate groups in? Or will they take a minute in between possessions for everyone to catch their breath?

I’m hardly concerned about reps and who is the guy after one day of practice.

The two guys returning with starting experience, then the redshirt freshman and walk on are behind them for opening warm up reps.
