They both played tough teams, but Texas Tech ripped OK State in pieces and Alabama had to win it in OT.

I think it will be hard to jump us without us losing at this time of year.

Don't think so. Granted Alabama didn't set the world on fire today, but they played a SEC opponent on the road and won, staying undefeated. The vote totals might close up a bit, but I still see Bama as #1. But this is the BCS so its anyones guess.

I'd say yes! They just beat #1 UT and dominated OSU. If we win out we'll be there at the end. Same goes for them. It will settle it self out.

When and if Bama loses I'll be pissed and all that, but they have far exceeded expectaions already. So, if TT jumps Bama....who cares?

Well, Bama did just beat the defending national champs at home, while TT beat an overachieving OK State team. I would bet LSU would beat OK State by 20.

OK State was slightly overrated. Their OOC is weak, and they rose up the ranks for beating Missouri.
I would certainly hope the voters won't make that mistake, as I think Oklahoma will end up beating Texas Tech in the next few weeks.

Geaux Bama. I hope they go all the way. 3 straight national championships by 3 different SEC schools would make up for the SEC being down this season.

Bama is not even a top 5 team. No disrespect, but they would get killed by any of these teams. I will enjoy seeing UF's solution to JJ though.

Bama winning it all would be great for the SEC and I hate Urban Cryer more than I do any other coach but I don't see bamma beating them.

They should but will not because Saban is a media darling - remember polls are still human and political- there was a good discussion yesterday on polls on ESPN about how political they are

Based on strength of schedule they should but they will not. If they beat OU next weekend they definitely should.

yes, without a doubt.
Bama's "big" wins get less impressive every week.

I don't think they will. We beat 2 quality SEC opponents on the road while TT beat their quality opponents at home. I think that will factor into the voters decision. It doesn't matter though because it will be settled on the field.
If TT beats OU in Norman, they should be #1 IMO but not right now.

Why does it matter? Florida will slaughter Bama.

i agree that T-Tech won't i am just saying that they should. Bama just didn't impress me very much. There strength is supposed to be their lines, and neither looked to be national championship level as we won the battle in the trenches. JPW completed less than half of his passes with no TDS. Jones is a beast, but the number one team in the country should have more impressive aspects.
ALso, this performance by bama isn't an isolated incident. They haven't looked to impressive several times this year, but they have been fortunate to get wins in multiple close games.
