Any idea why? I get he’s from Texas and that TCU just had a title game appearance, but Arkansas seems like they have better facilities and could pay him more

It's a lot easier making a name for yourself moving the ball at TCU against the Big 12 than it is at Arkansas against the SEC. He wants to be a head coach, and he decided that the TCU path was his best way forward.

In 2 years, who's going to be left in the Big XII other than TCU who'll be a legit contender?

I think he would Rather player Big 12 defenses with TCU players than continue playing SEC defenses with Arkansas players.

True but it didn't seem like he could bring much to Arkansas. He'll do much better at TCU.

TCU has plenty of Oil money to pay whatever they want.

How did Arkansas do this year? Then you look at the SEC West teams that should be much better this year. That got to be worried some for Kendall Briles. He will be struggling to keep up with the joneses in the coaches and talents race. I am seeing Auburn, Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, and maybe MSU. I doubt that one, but you never know. It is time to spend the money and upgrade the coaches to compete at the highest. Missouri isn't out of the woods either.

This only makes the Walker Howard saga more interesting.

Look at the competition. TCU and KSU are the best teams in the Big 12 right now. Briles’ offense can dice up a big 12 defense. Get paid more 5 years down the road by putting up bigger numbers now.

It’s much more difficult in the SEC, where D-lineman are as fast as the QBs.
