I totally agree. So to recap , I specifically mentioned that I had specific information that Auburn was shopping that was given to me by someone from a prominent sports agent. I gave specific figures. This was on December 5. I offered no judgment other than to tell everyone to prepare for it. I never criticized Auburn and in fact have said multiple times on this board that other schools should fear Freeze at Auburn because he will beat them. And people still downvote and wet their diapers? That’s weak as F.

I for one was not happy to see NIL and you add in the portal with one free move? It’s no longer amateur sports and I get there has been payments going on, but what we have now I do not see it being good for CFB.
With that said, I’m glad we have a coach that knows how to play in the arena we now find ourselves.

Nobody is above it, it’s just not a good idea to pay transfers big money who haven’t produced yet. LSU had the opportunity to match and BK declined to keep the locker room. LSU, Bama, Ohio State, and Georgia all pay big but you have to prove it on the field first. A&M and now Auburn have different philosophies. We’ll see which one proves to be the better strategy.
