It was fun seeing us rally from early multi-score deficits all year but playing that way was bound to burn us somewhere down the line. One improvement I'd like to see next year is not sleepwalking through an entire quarter or more before turning it on. When BK was first hired he said that he'd put a team on the field that would start fast, and that has been far from the case.
I'm hoping we can see some development in JD's passing game if he returns next year but he's a 4 year starter unlike Mett and Burrow when they first started here and had major improvement in their 2nd season. So I have some doubts it'll happen but at least he has the element of his running game which admittedly has helped us win games this year, I just worry he's being figured out at this stage of the season which makes me a bit concerned going into next year.
All in all though, as disappointing as the losses were, especially to A&M, expectations for this season were exceeded so it's a fine season to build on. 2023's schedule is more favorable to us as odd-numbered years tend to be and hopefully we can get to 85 scholarships with the next freshman class and transfers
