So who are all these blue chip recruits lined up wanting to play for Deion? Name some names. You all just parrot this stuff but can't ever seem to back it up.

It's because recruiting sites are the ones who have said it in anonymous conversations with recruits. They hear Deion and kids are hype about it. Not hard to see why that would be the case.

Deion has JSU recruiting at a level that has never been seen in the SWAC and has arguably increased the recruiting level of the entire conference. See below. He has JSU ranked in the top 100 or so in terms of recruiting rankings which is absolutely nuts as their entire roster is usually unranked.

I have no doubt that's he's recruiting better than their average. However, that's quite different than claiming he's going to show up here and start out recruiting Saban and Smart for all these 5 stars.

Who said he’d out recruit Saban and Kirby for 5-stars?

Good recruiting doesn’t mean we’d need handfuls of 5-star guys every year. If we could get back to loading up on top-250 guys then we’d be in much better shape. Generally, it’s those guys that move the needle in recruiting rankings.

We don’t necessarily have to consistently beat Smart and Saban on the trail. Yeah, it’d be nice to win a few. But who we really need to beat is UF, UT, FSU, Clemson, etc. plenty of talent to be shared but not if you’re running behind half of the southeast P5 programs

That’s exactly what he did with Travis Hunter. He went after the most sought after recruit in the nation and got him.

Could not agree with you more! The top programs in the SEC will have top talent. Now it comes down to coaching. Deion has very little experience and I am not sure that top coordinators have respect for his coaching ability to come to Auburn.

I have already made my thoughts known about Deion on the very first page if you care to look.

Glad you chimed in. Saban and Smart are the measuring sticks right now. Why would we expect any coach to come in and immediately "out recruit" them. I can't name any coach in the college ranks who could right now. But like you said, we don't have to get them all. We just need someone who can come in and get our share back on track. And possibly over time, hopefully overtake them. I feel that Prime could be that guy. And with a proper staff, maybe he could become "that guy".

you not being sure of something doesnt make it so.

Auburn University is hiring coaches, not Deion Sanders and there will always be great coaches looking to move to the SEC and increase their net worth by the millions

Does Georgia and Alabama hire the assistants??? Don’t think so! Kirby and Nick do. Here in lay the problem. You hire a HC and take hiring of his coordinators away from him. Laughable!

Have you taken a look at his Coordinators? Or anyone on his staff now? GO take a look...He can get Coordinators. He has a lot of relationships in the sport and outside...He may only have a couple of years experience but some want to hire someone with the same amount of experience but never been a HC.

Yes. They are the actual business hiring these assistants. Neither Kirby nor Nick Saban signs the checks. Now do they have influence in the hiring process? Absolutely

For fricks sake Deion has a pretty good staff now and they have to live in Jackson....with no running water, I feel safe in saying he could get good assistants at Auburn, just a hunch.
