You can tell people who just look at the recruiting rankings and don’t actually follow it.

I feel sorry for Mac if true. Who the hell would hire him? He has literally sucked everywhere he has been. Belichick and Saban have a lot in common..........Hurry up bowl game so we can get the coaching changes going.

Everybody who's familiar with how Saban does things, knows that he doesn't normally just fire people. He's too classy a guy to do that. When Saban is not happy with a coach he finds a new position for him, either within or outside the organisation.
Some recent examples are D-line coach Craig Kuligowski, who after one disappointing season, kind of disappeared from the radar and then resurfaced at Toledo. Another one is Drew Svoboda, who bombed as a special teams and TE coach and apparently served as Saban's special assistant this year (so I read). He will join North Texas.
So, hopefully Saban is working dilligently behind the scenes to move Golding and BoB elsewhere.
-If Saban's good buddy Bill Belichick wants to take BoB off our hands, he will automatically be removed from Santa's naughty list.
-Maybe there is some smaller school that wants to give PG a try as HC? After Saban's ESD haul I'm not sure if I am allowed to ask for more Christmas presents, but PG's departure is certainly at the top of my wish list.

I think this season was the most painful to watch in the Nick Saban era. This is because we were painfully bad on both sides of the ball (O and D). Apart from maybe Bama's early growing pains under Saban, that has never been the case.
I'm trying my best to forget this (still ungoing) season, but didn't we set negative yardage and penalties records this year, going all the way back to 2007?
If it was painful for us to watch, then it most have been a bloody horror for Saban. Listening to Gimme Shelter after a win must never have given him and Miss Terry less joy than this season...
So, that is why I trust that Saban replaces both his coordinators. The PG experiment has run its course: he's not going to improve our D (he has regressed big time this year) and he is sure as heckfire not going to teach our ILB's anything that is for certain.

If we stick with Pete Golding while Jim Leonhard is available, next season is going to be a difficult one. Anyone would be an upgrade but Jim is maybe the best fit for this defense besides Pruitt.

Didn’t Leonhard already take a job?
