The only thing I like about the "Magnolia Bowl" trophy is the fact there's a different one every season.

that would actually be an incredible premise

oh god, I thought the top was added later. So they just took that trophy and thought, "yeah, let's just saw off the top." "Anything else we want to change or add?" "Nope, that looks good."

Basically....the picture I posted with it sawed off is a picture LSU recently posted after they won thatt and the boot back. That was my main question in posting this...just why

also:

Whatever students decided the LSU/OM game needed a name and trophy should feel embarrassed.

I was at LSU at the time....none of us decided to name it. LSU athletics sent around an email to use saying it would be named and we got to vote...remember thinking all the names sucked, but magnolia bowl sucked the worst.

One of the choices was battle under the oaks if I remember right...which would be a cool name if it had been called that for a hundred years...but dumb to contrive it.

If we wanted to name it The Mississippi river rivalry wouldn't be too bad....but honestly it doesn't need a name...and it sure doesn't need a trophy...especially not this POS

It seems to get uglier every year. Just ditch the thing and get a large julep cup and stick a fake magnolia blossom on it.

A bronze trophy of a massive live oak tree would definitely look a lot better than what we have. That’s for sure

But yeah, the game didn’t need a name or a trophy and had survived 100 years without one

Back in 2008, a group of students at each school, all of whom probably still haven’t gotten laid, came up with this atrocity.

We’re in the SEC. We don’t need any fricking trophies, unlike the Big Ten, which has a trophy for almost half the schedule. And they have all of those trophies because their schools never win any championship trophies.

This Magnolia bullshite and the boot should be taken to the nearest fire and be thrown into the pile, never to be seen again.

Can't decide which is worse, that ridiculous trophy or "The Boot."

I actually think the boot is a cool looking trophy. No t a historic rivalry, but the trophy itself is not bad. The magnolia trophy…not so much.

I'm going to start a GoFundMe if we can't do better than this.

A silver bowl shaped like a magnolia bloom or with a magnolia bloom in the middle with the games inscribed.

It's not that fricking hard.

Is this rivalry sponsored by Chip and Joanna Gaines? This pic sure makes it look like it is. They must really be trying to up the viewership among basic bitches this year...
