Oklahoma State center Moussa Cisse committed. Former Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. 7-foot-1.

This past season, Cisse started in 20 of his 32 appearances and scored 6.8 points per game while getting eight rebounds a game and blocking a team-high 62 shots. He shot 58 percent from the floor and recorded six double-doubles. The year prior, he led the Big 12 in blocked shots and posted 7.2 points per game and 6.5 rebounds a game.

This program desperately needs something to get excited by. Let’s get some massive rim-protecting bigs !

I like what beard has done in limited time.

Looking into Cisse more, his defense is legit elite, but his offense can be quite bad at times. If he can get better offensively he's a legitimate NBA caliber player.

a guy like that can still be a difference maker on the team. As long as he can play defense and rebound I don't care if he only makes two buckets a game.

Jarvis Vernardo would single-handedly shut down anywhere near the paint for MSU and allowed the rest of the defenders to guard the perimeter.

100%. Assuming he's eligible next year (he needs a waiver since this is his 2nd transfer and he's not a grad transfer) he should be a huge difference maker for us.

Being from Memphis. I’m assuming it won’t be that difficult to receive.

Yep. And just like that, Ole Miss basketball became much more fun and interesting than Ole Miss baseball. I would have guessed that would have taken years, but Bianco really did his part to drop baseball down several peg in a really short time. He keeps this up and women's basketball is going to pass him.

Well, some of y'all might not like me for saying this, but as I've said on this board before, of the two I'd rather basketball be a title contender rather than baseball. It's just more exciting and it's certainly more of nationally followed sport. Maybe we can get there in men's hoops. Yeah, I'd rather all three of the "big three" be good, but so far we haven't put that together often or at all.

Auburn transfer Allen Flanigan will withdraw from the NBA Draft and play for Mississippi next season, his father, Wes, told CBS Sports. Wes is now an assistant for Chris Beard at Ole Miss; he previously worked at Auburn. Allen averaged 10.1 points and 5.0 rebounds last season.

Just locked up Coach Yo for a while. She's now one of 11 women's basketball coaches making 7 figures annually.
