They just have no legit argument for their favorites and are trying to pretend they would rather lose than hire Freeze. If that's the case we might as well promote Carnell and hope for the best because they aren't going to get anyone that fits all their checkmarks and it comes down to consistent winning against the best or morals and no one else on the list fits all winning checks. It's dumb things like this that has us hiring a bunch of unknown for dumb reasons and wonder in a few years why we are still not winning. We aren't hiring proven winners are just gambling.

If they want to compare personality, Deion still acts like a conceded 5* recruit when he talks. Definitely someone that is mature. Lane has been laughed out of every program he's coached at (except OM for now) and still isn't "grown up" enough to be a man when someone says something. They just aren't relevant enough to anyone for people to start digging through their personal life.

He just doesn't have the "it factor". Amirite? Too much experience, develops player and puts them in the NFL, and a record of beating teams with more talent and resources. Lots to hate about that guy!

That's really not true. I would know because I spent months arguing with people on the sheer basis of his actual coaching history. "He's just Malzahn with off-field problems", remember? Mix in lots of really dumb takes about how it wasn't good enough for him to go from a losing team to a 10 win Sugar Bowl win in 4 seasons at Ole Miss because he didn't win the West while Alabama was at their peak. Oh, and "he only went 8-5 at Liberty with an NFL QB".

The receipts are pretty endless. Lots of people on here have been engaging in mental gymnastics to convince themselves that he's just an average coach.
