He has absolutely nothing on his resume that shows he is ready for a job at this level. I need a little more than vibes. I need to see something concrete and 4 P5 level recruits over 3 years just isn't enough for me.

I don't understand what some of you are watching. Here are the things that he has shown that are VERY important to success at this level:

1) Elite ability to build a coaching staff. He is at a HBCU and he fields a coaching staff that is better than some P5 teams. With the money that Auburn can throw around, he can field a Top 5 coaching staff with ease. His connections and prestige within the football community are very underrated.

2) Elite ability to recruit. This isn't even up for debate. He hasn't even taken a job yet and he is the most talked about coach amongst 2023 recruits. Everyone is waiting and watching to see what he will do.

3) Elite ability to market himself and his program. Again, he is single-handedly fueling an entire league of HBCU's that no one would otherwise give two craps about. College Gameday just visited their dilapidated school. He is interviewed on every program. He presents charisma and salesmanship no different than what Bruce Pearl has done at Auburn. You hire him and Auburn is the top storyline in the country. What are we now known for? Being Bama's little brother?

4) He can clearly motivite. If he was some flash in the pan like Bryan Harsin, they wouldn't be winning every game.

That isn't even counting the fact that his team is 19-2 over the past two seasons.

There is risk with every hire. His "risk" (his inexperience) can be masked by the fact that you can surround him with proven elite coaches. Again, this is dependent on if he's serious and willing to do that (as opposed to just bringing over his entire current staff). That is what you would need to do when you interview him.

The fact that someone wants to argue that he's proven "nothing" of value is asinine.

Harsin won the Sunbelt at Arky St in one year he was there as head coach. He had 10 win seasons 5 out of 7 years at Boise St. When he was OC at Boise their record was 61-5. Hardly a flash in the pan.

He hasn't proven anything. He signed 4 recruits that are anywhere near the level Auburn needs due to selling changing the way HBC are viewed and a ridiculous NIL deal. He probably could recruit but there are no guarantees. Saying otherwise is an assumption. It's a stupid hire based on vibes and hype. Sorry but no amount of bullet points on what might happen is going to change that
