That's the point that needs to be realized: we are currently 3-10 over our past 13 games, and the talent on this roster is GONE. What's the worst case scenario with Deion? You go 3-10 but he leaves a roster full of 5-stars? You're already at the worst possible scenario.

Are you ensuring he'll be top 2 in recruiting?

That's a gamble in itself. Sounds like the omly reason fans want him is his ability to recruit, not coach.

Coaching is kinda the primary job. Coaches win games without a roster full of five star. Ya'll make it sound like we'll be getting 20 5* recruits.

Ain't gonna happen. And that's a hell of a gamble.

He would field an elite coaching staff, if he wants to. Again, Auburn money plus his personality and connections = ELITE STAFF.

He's already doing that at Jackson State.

Again, elite talent + elite coordinators (if he's serious) + position coaches. That by default wins most of your games. It's hard to completely fail with that setup.

You severely underestimate his coaching connections. He has Mike Zimmer (an NFL HC) as an analyst on his fricking Jackson State staff.

No shite! You think Saban, Kirby, Kelly, and now Heupel aren't going to get their share of top talent? Now throw in the fact that have DECADES of experience to go along with the talent they get, and can hire top assistants.

People are blinded by Sanders pulling TWO recruits that the big boys wanted. He then went out to the portal, and got a bunch of guys who couldn't sniff the field at P5 schools. Then he competes against teams full of 2* and no star players. Stepping up into the SEC would be like running up a few flights of stairs today, and attempting to climb Everest tomorrow.
