That’s hardly indicative. Just because a QB doesn’t blow the doors off one year doesn’t mean that he’s suddenly mediocre. Look at Burrow - up to the Bama game in 2018 he looked serviceable, then finishing up 2018 and all of 2019 he was ungodly.
What is up with fans that want players to be seen as amazing until they have to acknowledge the player is leaving? Then it’s “Meh, we got 3 more guys better refilling the Gatorade.”

And a lot more than 1 but I wasn’t the one predicting a national championship run 3 years from now that was GeneralDipshit

Heupel would be a moron to leave a budding dynasty in the SEC to go fail in the NFL like pretty much every other star college coach who does it. I seriously doubt he does that.
Agree, why would d he leave a perennial powerhouse like Tennessee where he can win championships every year for the NFL?

Why would that make him a moron? If he fails he’ll just go home to Oklahoma or whatever the best school is with an opening the year he quits or gets fired.
That being said, I just don’t see it happening. The NFL hasn’t really been plucking successful college coaches that much anymore. If Jimbo(in his prime), Dabo, and Kirby didn’t get the call I don’t see Josh getting it either.

He flashed none of this in his time at VaTech. And he wasn’t recruited by Huepel, Joe Milton was the QB Huepel recruited and started to Tennessee. Milton isn’t the threat to run like Hooker but the freshman Jackson and top recruit Nico are both run threats. Milton has the measurables and experience and time in system to get the start next year without a significant drop off. And the Vols have done well recruiting Oline and WRs to keep the machine running.
Hooker is also 24 playing against much younger kids.

Is it because of Huepel or Hooker for UT's success this year?
Not trolling, but his UCF teams trended downward before he came to Tennessee and last year he finished one game above 500.
I think it's to early to be proclaiming him the next big thing or that UT is a contender going forward with him.

This is incorrect. His second year there before he was injured he threw like 14 tds and 3 ints or maybe even only one i forget. He came back and had a bad season after that but his highlight reels showed plenty of potential. Him and Heupel are a match made in heaven though.
I was excited as heck when i heard we got him because there were definitely glimpses of greatness in his Va Tech highlights that most other vols overlooked as they falsely bought into the ridiculous Harrison Bailey hype.
Fluentes as acoach is a QB's worst nightmare.

I think it's Huepel. Everywhere he's coached the offense, the offense has been top 10 in the nation

I'm genuinely interested in seeing his system next year, without Hooker. And that's not intended as a knock against Heupel in any way - the system may indeed work with another QB. I just think Hooker is that good.
It’s Briles’ system from Baylor. He never had an issue replacing a QB from one year to the next.

If he has the opportunity to go to the NFL, he will 1000% take it.
Tennessee fans, don't think much of it, its just the type of dude he is. He isn't loyal and he'd do it to any program, if that makes any difference.

I agree with that. That system only works if you have the right QB.
I've never met anyone as ignorant as you about football.
There is NO SYSTEM that works if you have the wrong quarterback.
