We are going to keep losing talent until Harsin is gone.

This is true. But it’s also true for everyone. The real measurement is comparing that to who comes in. In February, Auburn had lost what seemed like an impossible amount of guys (20) but didn’t quite regain that talent back through the portal. Alabama lost 17 guys. Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Kentucky lost 14, Arkansas 17, Miss State 19. And so on. Guys like Kiffin shedded guys and brought in better talent. Bama shedded guys and brought in like 3 guys, but offloading 14 scholarships was a huge win.

All this to say, assuming the rules stay the same, we should expect double digit losses through the portal every year. But we should be more worried about what comes in, though. And Harsin has proven to struggle at that in both the portal and out of high school. Bad, bad news.

This may be what you meant. But I think it’s going to take a while for us to get used to the amount of guys that are going to leave each year. I think our poor records lately and coaching changes has made this seem uniquely Auburn when it’s pretty widespread outside of few schools like Clemson

The new normal is kids transferring and/or sitting out to keep their eligible year.

It sucks but it's turned into they are looking for greener pastures 24/7.

College football will be unrecognizable in 10 years. I expect all athletes will unionize by then
