I can’t figure out why only Whittingham has realized hard nosed football has to be a staple. The Pac12 refuses to copy Whittingham and instead wants a Pete Carroll reincarnation with 50 5*s as if that’s possible. That conference wants to pin their legacy on 7v7 offensive coaches. Lanning might help but his first season his defense was charmin soft.

Since you all are talking Ute football. I will say my nephew had a monster game tonight, and very proud of him. Was a hell of a game for Utah.

I’m going to assume your nephew’s last name is Hubert.
Either way: that’s awesome.

Maybe one day

I’m going Bishop
Utahs top two defensive players were from Peachtree City, Ga and Auburn smh
Upon second thought, Rockymtn, I’m going with Reid with 3 tfl and 2 sacks

Tell me I was dreaming. That Prime didn’t leave me here to cry.

Maybe its just me but I felt he should wait, or pursue South FL if they were pursuing him.
Colorado just feels like an odd fit for him.
I honestly think he made that move to get his son in a P5 conference but CO?

Boulder has to be one of the best college cities in the nation. At the base of the flat irons. Beautiful scenery. Folsom Field is a great stadium as well IMO. Pac 10 is losing UCLA and usc. Colorado will be leading that conference very shortly

Thamel-
Liberty and Jamey Chadwell have agreed to a seven-year deal at an average of more than $4 million per year, per ESPN sources. There's a team meeting this am to announce Chadwell's departure from Coastal Carolina, as @RossDellenger and others have noted.

I went there for grad school. Aside from the small overzealous progressive crowd and few uppity elites, I loved it there. They need to update some of their athlete support facilities but a good recruiter could go hog wild there if they get the croots on campus. They have a lot of alumni hungry for good sports. I saw USC play there at night and it was fantastic. Lots of weed smell, however.
ETA: there's one thing though about Colorado outside of parts of Denver. If you're a prospective athlete, there's almost no black people. The players I met there didn't really care, some liked that as they were the only show in town. Boulder is a little hypocritical in that they want a progressive paradise but maintain policies that are in opposition to that, e.g. strict land buffer around perimeter to isolate the municipality, bus homeless out of town, no affordable housing, etc. Very interesting. /r

What could have been. Makes me sad. Out PTB have no vision and no balls.

The first (five-star) commitment of the Deion Sanders era is in as IMG Academy 2025 Winston Watkins Jr. commits to #Colorado. "He is that guy. Man he did it on the field & he does it in the office as well. Can't wait to see what he does with the program."

Probably means that the PTB didn’t want Deion to be a bigger deal than them.
