They just could not handle it. They knew the 2 best teams were in the same division, they knew nobody else was close, they knew there was no other real alternative.

Knowing all of that, especially with it on the heels of Florida, LSU, Florida, Alabama, Auburn all winning titles in a row.....they just cracked. They couldn't handle it and their brains burst. And they haven't been put back together since.

Nah. Alabama did this. Specifically, Saban did this.

When we end up with four SEC teams in the semifinals guaranteeing an SEC only championship almost every year, they’ll be begging for the BCS back.

No, last year was the nail in the coffin. When the committee publicly said Georgia was in the CFP no matter what happened in the SECCG and in their heart of hearts they knew Bama would be the opponent. Bama LSU started the conversation, Georgia being in without even having to play was the final straw. Other conferences had had enough.

It would still be that way in the future if not for the interest in other Bowl Games. It wasn't to crown a real champion; it was to provide schedule filler for ESPN/ABC. Like I posted before, you never really saw any real good BB Games in December, that will change now.

Don't worry, you'll still be in line for the Birmingham bowl.

It’s not SEC dominance that caused this, it’s simply more televised football games. TV now runs college football and those termites will eat through it until there’s nothing left like they do with everything.

I would be perfectly OK with that.
