UGA fans don’t realize what mental roller coaster they are about to experience.

Most of them weren’t alive during their 1980 title, or just simply don’t remember it.

This means the 2022 championship was a feeling that was unlike any other for dawg nation.

Be ready to pull your hair out and kick your dogs. The mental stress you will experience now will push you to your limits. Good luck.

Edit: If you need a reference, observe the the LSU fans around here.

I’ll have fun watching the Dawgs this year like I always do, national championship or 6-6. No reason to pull your hair out over some football games, especially when I have less and less of it every day as it is.

It isn't going to be like what happened with LSU because we have a better coach and an easier schedule

but

the withdrawal from that 2021 defense is going to make the message boards look like junkies who have just been cut off - you are right about that.

I agree, losing is much easier to live with.

It’s like Saban has completely wiped your memories of what being a Bama fan was like for the 20 or so years before him… it’s gonna be wildly fun for the rest of us to watch y’all crash back down to Earth.

Lol I am more at peace about football than I have ever been. Could be getting more mature and realizing at the end of the day, 22 20 year olds running around a rectangle with white lines for 3.5 hours really don’t mean too much in the long run.

Or maybes it’s just because 2021 was so sweet.

Look at Bama as an example. Their last legitimate title was back in 2017. Long time ago!

The next one is never guaranteed.

UGA should be in the hunt as long as Kirby is there and UF and UT are trash. They will have the same hurdle that LSU has, and that is to get over Bama to make it all the way.

Pressure is off, monkey remived from back. This year is gravy no matter what.

That said, reloaded from a talent perspective, we are replacing experience but that is mitigated by how much we subbed the young guys.

I remember 1980.

And I remember 81 and 82.

That is where we are as a program.
Relevant every year.

If we don't win it, the team who does has to go through us(81 Clemson, 82 Penn St. 2020 Bama, 2019 LSU). That is how football should be played.

2021 was a fantastic year for both UGA and Braves fans. We got to watch both reach the pinnacle of their respective sports. I look at 2022 as a gravy year. Nothing could be better than 2021, but I’m excited to see what this year holds. The Braves are doing their part so far, so we’ll see what the Dawgs do. I’m pleased with the status of both programs.

Why? We are likely going 12-0

Our average win total going forward for expectations is 11.

No one is going to pull their hair out.

Also, we know that we won't win all of the games, hence the 11 game expectation and not 12.

The problem is with fans of other teams thinking Mark Richt still exists for GA and that he might walk back thru those doors. He ain't

Kirby has put GA in 2 Natty's in 5 years and was an overtime away from winning both. We are all good, thanks for your concern.

Lmao what? It's a game played by 18-22 year olds (29 if you're Stequavious)

If you're getting wigged out by the results, Jesus.

I'd thing the mental roller coaster for UGA fans was the last 40 yrs they rode through getting sooooo close to a championship on multiple occasions only to be thwarted.

Hell they're over the hump and it's all lagniappe now.

There's more to life than football. Jesus is Lord and we should all submit to Him.

We got our championship and got it by going through the team that has denied us of one if not two more in the past decade. I'm content.

Wait. You think most Georgia fans are younger than 42?

How old are you, that you think 42 is ancient, and did you get permission to post from your mommy?

We are not Alabama fans. We do not kill each other when our team loses a game, and we don't melt down screaming "INJURIES!" when we lose a game.

Why? We have Alabama fans doing this.
