Oh dear, maybe I have said too much as I just noticed that you have to win your bowl game just to match the record he had there in year 1. At least he is consistent. 4 losses or more in 75% of his years with A&M.
Don't feel bad, our coach could barely read and write and he had the same the number of losses over the last 4 years as Jimbo. Plus he won a national title. He got fired for that many losses though. Guessing Jimbo got a big ole atta boy and an extension and raise for that performance. That might be your problem. Now that we have located the problem of rewarding substandard performance, maybe you can do something about it. You are welcome.

One thing I love about this board is that I can troll LOLSU fans and they just can't get enough of it. A&M lives in their minds rent-free 24/7/365. I actually think Kelly is not a bad hire under the circumstances. I doubt he will take you back to the promised land.

Everyone in the know at LSU made it very clear LSU never actively pursued Jimbo. They did last run for sure but thankfully they didnt hire a coach who just fully "Ed O'ed" Florida State and just took them to an awesome 5-6 record in his last season. In the ACC of all conferences.
Thankfully that first pass failed. This pass he was never considered. Did he and Woodward talk, sure probably but NO one and I mean NO one at LSU including the majority of their fans wanted to hire a coach who just lost to the fired coach and a bunch of LSU walk ons and 3rd stringers.
No we hired a coach he had his team at 11-1 and a chance in the CFP
Not one who just destroyed a once proud program and was 5-6.
