Yeah didn't pretty much every coach from his past come out and say "oh for sure, Gus is in the right, he sucks"

I disagree with the view many here have of " yea, whatever...Jovon was a dirtball anyway."

Other than this accusation, I had never publicly heard anything negative about Jovon other than some rumors about missing class or being late to meetings. Nothing about stealing, guns or drugs or 1,000 other things that other college football players have done and are still on their respective teams.

And if missing a class were a reason to kick a college student out of the university, Auburn would only have about 10 students on the entire campus.

Who exactly knows what really happened at 2am in Jovon's dorm room, but unfortunately this accusation if a lie or exaggeration has added a significant hurdle to overcome in this young man's life.

The missing meetings is fact and confirmed by beat writers. Missing class is a big deal if you are told to be there by a coach. I can't imagine a player missing more than 1 meeting and ever seeing the field if a coach has control of his position group.

"silly fib." I'd attempt to burn this bitch to the ground. Wonder if she's actually enrolled at Auburn. A shame her name wasn't leaked so the public could ruin her life for at least a little bit. E-mailing someone's employer/coach a lie about being physically assaulted is a "silly fib?" Sounds like she needs help learning a lesson.

I'm 38 now and this generation takes zero responsibility for shite, they suck. This girl shouldn't be allowed on campus again and I say that about all of these kids that perjure themselves because they are pouting about not getting their way. frick these stupid shits.

And my next biggest issue is that no one holds them accountable. Now they use stupidity as a legal defense and for some reason it is working. "Oh, I can't tell a lie that costs someone their life? shite, my bad. I didn't know I couldn't do that." "Oh you... Don't worry about it, it might hurt your feelings to think you did wrong here."

This is becoming more and more common and something needs to be done about it. There is a case where a guy was accused of rape by a girl and after he served seven years she recanted the story and they set him free. Didn't do shite to the girl. She should served double his time for it, she should be rocking 14 years with no option of probation.

ETA. As far as Jovon goes, if a quick story got him booted, he was on thin ice and probably needed to go.

While this is true - he seemed to keep his nose clean as far as criminal activity goes - I feel like we constantly heard about his attitude and work ethic last year. After all, that's why he didn't start.

It seems Gus has learned how detrimental bad attitudes can be to team chemistry and it's better in the long run to get rid of team cancers.
