Welp, we are gonna have Gus for awhile. Contract is like that, so we're gonna have to recruit for his offense.

Yeah we lost again... that SUCKS. but I saw some stuff I liked.

1. Defense had a PULSE. Welcome back Carl.
2. Sean is fricking warrior. An injured one, but a warrior.
3. Jovon showed he can be a beast if given the rock.

What I didnt like:

Play calling sucked. JJ needs to never see the field again. Bless his heart... he is a liability at this stage. Gus needs to Get the frick over it.

Alex Kozan got his arse beat all game but Nkemdiche will do that to an avg player.

The idea of it. In Malzhan's mind, if he can hang in there and just go find a DT juco this year, all will be well and his shitty play calling will be forgotten.

I don't know so much about his shitty calling being forgotten but it may be forgiven if he can get the right pieces for the offense that he can actually win with. He is too cute to win with a pro style offense. That is pretty much what we are running right now without all the trick plays, herp derps and JJ meltdowns...

The obvious answer is that we need a DT coach.

I'm sorry this epiphany hasn't occurred any sooner than now.

were not. a dt qb opens up the run game. right now we suck in the run game, hence why the dt qb is being talked about.

Meh. He will keep doing what he is doing until he makes it work. Thats his mentality. Too much pride.

Look at the positives (Florida). If Muschamp stays around long enough maybe he'll get some players in here and we'll have a defense in a few "short" years...

We don't need a DT QB to be good. We need a coach to not call terrible plays on the goal line. Why can we not line up in the eye on the GL and pound the ball across.

Because we don't practice I-formation plays.

That however doesn't prevent us from calling BETTER, less PREDICTABLE plays which would help. But Gus always falls into that trap of his own making.

That along with playing 4 QBs in the 1st Quarter tells me that Gus is either one stubborn or stupid sumbitch... or both.
