We don't need a DT QB to be good. We need a coach to not call terrible plays on the goal line. Why can we not line up in the eye on the GL and pound the ball across.

Well if we got a new coach then the DT thing goes out the window. The DT people are operating under the assumption that Gus is the coach.

because that DT QB somehow ran the read option to near perfection, found open receivers, and was a credible threat on the ground

It's I, not eye.

We cannot do that because our OL is weak and RB can't read holes.

When we went under center it wasn't very successful. But I'm with you in regards to not needing a DT QB. When you're that close you can still run the zone read. White doesn't have to be a burner to run it. He just needs to be able to make the reads.

Had he pulled it out on that first down run on the Robinson drive he could have prob walked in. We finally had success running up the middle and both ends crashed so hard on the running back.

Problem is he's not a read option QB and won't make the right read a lot of time.

Barber can't read holes. JR showed out today. He must have really screwed up if he's that good and been riding the pine. Gus abandons the run as soon as it's stopped.

He's not reading it right and that's probably because he hasn't worked it much. It's not something you just tell the QB "If he sits give it. If he crashes keep it." You have to rep it a good bit.

And it could be that white just sucks at it and can't make the reads... but if that's the case don't call it.

because it works with this retard of a coach we have. And I dont know how many times you guys are going to have to see it to understand it. If you are sitting around waiting for Gus to start calling a good offense game with this style of offense, you are going to fricking grow roots

This style of offense is not the answer to our offensive problems and it never will be as long as he is making the calls. He is no adaptive genius. He needs a running qb and three plays

Peewee players can make that read, I'm sure white can also.

Most of those runs look like zr but are designed runs.

Agreed on all of this. People seem to take it personal when someone suggests that White isn't the answer. It's not his fault. Kid is a baller. It just so happens that our coach doesn't know how to score points with him.

Gus adjusted his play calling for Chris Todd, but he hasn't adjusted for Sean White. Other teams without DT QBs routinely score in the red zone. It's not that hard.

Gus is coaching scared. Its pretty obvious by now that he has no intention of adjusting the offense to make White successful. He's going to ride this read option and four qb shuffle into the ground or until the pressure on Jacobs is so high that he gets fired.

we have a QB. what we need is offensive coaches that know what they are doing.

I actually laid that out in a very nice package for people about 5 weeks ago but people went full retard.

The idea of it. In Malzhan's mind, if he can hang in there and just go find a DT juco this year, all will be well and his shitty play calling will be forgotten.
