Agree. Watson is not the passer Marshall was. He can run well though

lol he doesn't have the arm strength but is more accurate and understands the position a lot better than Nick for obvious reasons.

Clemson has every single ingredient it takes to beat alabama. I hate Dabo too and tried to deny them all year but they are a damn good football team. They are indeed "Fast" and "Physical" and dispel the myth you can't be both.

Dabo started recruiting him in the 8th grade. Told him they would build his offense around him, then taught his high school (my ala mater) the Clemson offense so he would be familiar when he got there. True story. He was always going to Clemson. And he won a state title in high school thanks to Dabo.

I hate to break it to you guys but if Alabama plays like it did last night, no team will even come close.

The only real chance Clemson has is Watson. He will either have to scramble and make bama pay like Ole mIss did or the offense line will have to deal with that front 7

Both seem unlikely right now. Bama looks about as good as a college team can look right now

The same alabama team that couldn't put Auburn away a month ago?

Alabama is built to dominate teams like Michigan State and they did.

Teams like Clemson are the ones that give alabama problems. Not sure if you watched the Orange Bowl but Clemson's DL was nearly as dominating as bama's without their best player.

The best quarterback in college football is a pretty good chance.

Why do people feel the need to overreact so dramatically?

I think it will be a good game and Clemson has all the right ingredients to win this game. I'm looking forward to watching it.

Not overreacting at all. Teams usually do not play two games in a row like Alabama did last night. Watson is good but he will need to be able to pass the ball down field to beat them. He did not look great at that last night.

His movement could give Bama some trouble but they will have to be perfect.

Now who is overreacting

How is that an overreaction? It's a fact. Auburn had multiple chances to win that game and we are not a good football team.

I'm not taking anything away from alabama but "they are playing as good as a football team can play"? Is a laughable statement.

They were a Connor Cook megaderp from being in a one possession game at halftime last night. Now had you said that second half was about as good as a team can play then I can agree but that is not indicative of they type of ball they have played all season.

The Clemson matchup will be much harder for them, both offensively and defensively.... and bama won't have three weeks to gameplan.

I'm thinking CU keeps it close... gotta score and put pressure on Coker to make plays when they count... only ole miss and UT have been able to do it all year.

Iowa and MSU were bad teams. Do not out too much into the game Bama played last night. Bama should win, but Clemson has potential for the upset. The selection committee should have had Bama vs OK, but they felt that was unfair to one of the top seeds.

So using your logic, Memphis could have beat Bama since they beat Ole Miss?

You can not judge these teams from one game to the next. And you certainly cant judge Alabama by how the Iron bowl goes.

I am in no way saying Clemson cant beat them, Im just saying they will have to play their very best to do so.

Come one Randy. I am usually a supporter of yours but that is laughable. That offensive line could not block Bama at all. Michigan St had one decent drive all night and they ended up turning it over in the red zone. That game last night was a total domination

I don't think I ever insinuated anything close to that.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you are saying or we're arguing semantics. I just think it's crazy how all of the sudden after dismantling a team they were built to dismantle they are all of the sudden some unstoppable force when they have been beaten and struggled multiple times throughout the year.

Look at the teams that gave them trouble... Ole Miss, UT, Auburn they are all similar to what Clemson is except Clemson is better than those three teams in every phase of the game.

In the second half yes, it was. If a team was "playing as good as a team could possibly play" bama would not have struggled to move the ball so much in the first half.

It just seemed like unnecessary hyperbole to me, no big deal. Cheers, Happy New Year, War Eagle or whatever.

I agree on the bama vs MSU game. No team in the country can compete with bama at their own game because of the talent gap between bama and everyone else and the fact bama is in year 8 of running the same general system under saban.

Clemson has a shot though. They have the athletes and system and the qb to compete with bama. Bama should still be a td favorite, but Clemson has a shot.
