You were the one bashing Gus for not doing "great coach" things earlier in a demolition of a conference road team.

Are you being intentionally obtuse?

The criticism of Gus was not putting his foot on the neck of Miss State on OFFENSE and, instead, going into the Malzahn verion of the classic Tubershell.

Last time I looked, Bama has scored 2 TDs in the 2nd half where Gus was happy with struggling to get 1 FG.

I get it, but it was 35-0. We should have scored on the drive where we passed on 3rd and 1 that would have made it 42-0 or whatever, but other than that, Pettway carried the ball almost 40 times and we had no one else. It's not like we could pass it down their throat more.

And I see your point as well.

Here's the difference though...

Bama shelled up with 10 minutes left in the game.

Gus shelled up with 30 minutes left in the game.

I've seen a lot of screwed up stuff happen in 1/2 of football that ruined Auburn's day in the past. I just think that going into a shell with 30 minutes on the clock is fricking dumb. Especially considering they weren't able to do a damn thing to stop us in the 1st half.

Yes we could wut. And I wish we would've. Should've been an air raid extravaganza so Sean could get some in game confidence in his deep ball.

By the way, Washington is scoring touchdowns in the 4th quarter to embarrass Oregon.

They've scored 70 points.

Against another P5 team.

And they're not letting up.

In todays world of college football, there is no reason to take the foot off the pedal

Never

Which is the way it should be. Take it easy in the fourth on the Rent-A-Wins sure, but conference foes have no excuse. If they get blown out it's their fault.

7 minutes left in that game and Washington has the ball again.

You think Peterson gives a shite about Oregon's tender feelings?

Who cares. Kind of wish he would have saved Pett some. We rode him today.

Agree BB. We should at least try to score one more TD right after the half before we shell up. Let that score set the tone and then cruise from there. Or put the second string in and carry out the same playbook. Providing low risk learning experiences while up 30 could be beneficial in the future.

Michigan beat Rutgers today 78-0.

Rutgers is now officially a "Power 5" team.

You think Harbaugh gave a shite about running up the score? They were ahead 57-0 when the 4th quarter started.

They scored 3 more TDs in the 4th quarter.

Were the #4 and #5 teams (Michigan and Washington) coaches worried about "health" and the other team being embarrassed today?

Doesn't look like it.

We are a pretty good football team. Much better than some of the top 25 teams. We are not ranked though. Our scores do not help...

Since we are stuck with the shitty ranking system we have for most of the year, you must be impressive. And impressive to the voters is scoreing.

I don't personally like it but it is what it is

I don't see how anybody could bash anything about today. Our guys took their foot off the gas for a while, which I hated to see, but it is fun watching Auburn football again..........and that D, yo.

I'm glad Bob Stoops isn't our coach. "Our schedule sucks, so lets play the game all the way through because we probably have several bye weeks ahead. Michigan has a giant pile of shite ahead of them for over a month.
