Grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles all went to Auburn. Auburn royalty.

I went to Auburn games starting in 1990. I guess the 1993 season started it all for me.

My dad was a huge Auburn fan so I was invested throughout my childhood. My first memories are from the '93 season when I was 7

October 2011

I was visiting some schools over fall break my senior year in high school. I knew I wanted to major in mechanical engineering. The original plan was UK, Ohio State (not a fan but good school), UAB (dad wanted a guaranteed full ride out of state just cause idk), and GT. OSU didn't have any engineering tours available so there was an opening in the schedule. A few days before we were set to leave, I read something about AU engineering in passing. I figured what the hell and signed up for a tour.

Auburn was 3rd on the list after UK and UAB. I had enjoyed UK somewhat. Honestly, I was viewing the rest of the trip as a foregone conclusion. Then I got on campus. Game over. I immediately fell in love with the place. I knew where I was going to school. This was solidified by a shittastic trip to GT.

Thanks for reading, and War Eagle!

My dad who was my best friend. When I was little he would throw me up in the air every time AU scored a TD. He was a graduate. My grandfather taught there. Aunts, uncles, and my older sister all graduated from there. I went for 2 years before transferring. Still one of my biggest regrets.
