If we had won 4 or five of those close games and beat Florida, we would be heavily considered a tournament team... And yes I know we didn't and that's some big "ifs"...
Then this is a terrible point and shouldn't be mentioned.

That's like saying if Ole Miss didn't lose to Auburn, aTm, and Alabama they would've made the SECCG.

It doesn't justify anything by applying "if". Because it didn't happen.

My question is simply this: what does next year look like? Does it look better? If not, it's time to cut Barbee free. If things look up then let him have another year to try to improve.

Honestly, with CD3, ADT, and Payne gone, I can't see this team being better. Atewe is the only big man getting serious minutes, and at 6'9, he's really too small to be a C. Both of the 7' are under 235 lbs, so they're ridiculously undersized. At guard, Taj is the only ball handler. KT is just flat out bad on the dribble. Wade has a sharp shot at times, but that appears to be his only asset. Canada is a TO waiting to happen. There does appear to be a really solid 3* 6'8 SF signed with Auburn, so that's one upside.

You seem like an angry little guy.... The point I made was made to include the first part of my statement that you deliberately left off...

Our bball program is in shitty shape. We can make all the excuses we want, but we play just well enough to lose..........time after time after time.

I don't expect us to be a top tier bball program. I do think its not asking much to make the Tourney twice every ten years......add in a couple of NIT's every ten years. Our program is not close to doing either, at the moment.

Hey, wanna read the rest of my post before you start laughing at me? I was just posing some pertinent questions.

No, it was a good write-up, but I don't see any way we are better next year with the talent and leadership we will be losing

Barbee's winning percentage is .397 at Auburn. The only v thing he has done here is stolen $2 per year for this shitty product free puts out. He cannot recruit or coach.

Yeah we will be terrible again unless Barbee recruits some solid 4 or elite 5 star players that can make immediate impact.

I thought that was Barbee's style?

We supposedly like to play up tempo but truth is we don't.

The Suns legit ran an Oregon stype offense for BBall. They had fast breaks left and right, huge spread on the floor and in the half court game they often had 3-4 guys beyond the 3 point line who were willing and able to hit a 3 (3 starters at all time had 40% or more 3pt%)

Suns essentially just let Steve Nash do his thing getting into the lane to either shoot an open layup or dish out to the 3line.

Clearly Tony Barbee doesn't run the same offense because not only do we shoot some 15% from 3, we don't recruit shooters either

4 and 5 star guys do not want to come to auburn no matter who the coach is. Barbee did a terrific job recruiting high profile guys early on but they all fricked up and aren't on the team or never made it. Say what you want but our program is never going to be good cycling coaches in and out.

Supposedly the AD is handcuffing Barbee's recruiting efforts with the AAU game. Not having the guys make it to Auburn affected our program for the worse and now kids don't want to come here

I know that. Thats basically the point of my comment. Who knows when Auburn will ever get those elite players to come play here. We need the right coach to win. Thats another thing that hard to find for Auburn BBall

Think about some of the shitshow small schools that have made the NCAAs since the last time we have. There is no excuse for a school our size, with our fan base, with our resources, and our facilities to consistently be this bad.
