You are fricking insane. The player shite his fricking shorts and tossed the ball out of bounds unprovoked, yet you call for the job of the guy who had them ready to win the game against the number 2 team in the nation. Unbelievable.

Where was the PG to come back to the basketball?

Have you even watched us play all year long? Or last year? Or any time under Barbee? Have you kept up with anything on why this team has no depth? Do you know why we have no size down low? Do you not see why our conference record is below .500 in Barbee's 4th year?

You completely ignored every question I asked you... and I can't help but wonder why.

I'm trying to have a level headed conversation and you're freaking out b/c we played Florida tough on the road.

I'm with you. A few close calls does not a good coach make.

As great of a showing we had tonight, we shot 55% from 3pt land and were -14 in the rebounding column.

Almost winning does about as much good as getting blown out. If this was the first time, then ok. But this happens every single game.

I've watched us accumulate guards over 6'0", along with big men who can rebound in the paint. I've watched us get a couple 7'ers who can add some size to our roster who can run scripted plays. I've also watched our UA roster take numerous Sweet 16 teams to the brink of losing, which is a lot more since anything I've seen since Marquis Daniels, Kyle Davis, Robertson and Cliff Ellis. This team is close.

That seems to be Barbee's peak though. I'll give him one more year but that's it.

So if the players aren't prepared and screw up the ending of the game, you blame the players for not being prepared? Doesn't the coach have a little responsibility when it comes to preparing the players for these pressure situations? Don't we always shite the bed one way or another in these close games?

I'm glad to know you went to the Saban school for handling tough losses.

So you blame Barbee for our guy catching a pass and lobbing it out of bounds? Wow...

What guy caught a pass and lobbed it out of bounds?

Did you even watch the end?

Payne was the inbounder. Harrell looked away right as he threw it.

And it's not about just this game. Like Rig said, it's about his whole tenure. It wouldn't shock me if we found an even more inventive way to lose Saturday. I'm sure we won't shoot as well.

But hey, I'm all for trying to go on a winning streak at the end of Chris freaking Denson's, the leading scorer in the SEC, senior year so we can sneak into the CBI. Got to give a lot of credit to Barbee for pulling that off.

We need to implement a fast pace offense in bball too. Like the old Phoenix Suns in the seven seconds or less era. Get shooters and athletes and run the court. Easy and fu. To watch

ADT is 7 feet tall but 230 lbs.. thin as a rail. Griciunas is the only other 7 footer on the roster and he shoots the 3 and doesn't rebound. I don't know where you're going with those two guys.
ETA: you can add Ronald Delph if you want but dude couldn't even fully qualify. All he does is sit around the student rec and watch people hoop.

You have to win some of those games. We lose all of those games AND lose to teams we shouldn't be losing to on our home court.

I guess you missed the entire 2008-2009 season then.. Lebo led that team to a 24-12 record and an NIT birth... Barbee hasn't finished above .500 overall in 3 years and this year remains to be seen. I'll be damned if I see a Barbee AU team hit the 24 win mark in a season.

This team is close.
This is ultimately where we disagree then. This team is not close. They cannot compete on the interior night in and night out. We rely on 2 guys to put up 40 ppg and we often get out rebounded by double digits.

One more year is fine with me.... If given the chance, I think he can turn it around... We are teetering on the line of becoming somewhat relevant... If we had won 4 or five of those close games and beat Florida, we would be heavily considered a tournament team... And yes I know we didn't and that's some big "ifs"...
