Anyone know the time table for making his decision?

I think the deadline is January 15th, so sometime before then.

Anyone heard anything about which way he might be leaning?

Just seeing articles over the last few days they say he's undecided at this point.

I think the majority of the public leans towards "he gone".

Either way, he's earned a place in Auburn lore for a long time.

the one thing Tre might notice is Heisman winners live like kings forever, rb's disappear in the nfl after a year or two. I wonder if that's a part of it?

Just imagine if he comes back, puts up the same numbers, wins the Heisman and the SEC. You think the way the fans react to Bo and Cam is lost on him?

His family has money, just get a big insurance policy and take a shot at being idolized for the rest of your life.

I think he really wants to win the Heisman and with him coming close this year it's making his decision tough on him. I still think he leaves but it's giving him something to think about.

Not just the heisman, I'm sure these guys at least have to think they have a pretty decent shot at a title next year. Coming so close, I'm sure they are thinking about it somewhat. It's tough to make it back 2 years in a row though...

I'm sure he heads to the NFL but man it would be cool to see him play in orange and blue one more year

I only said Heisman because he's been very vocal about that being his lifelong goal.

Contracts of the last few NFL RBs drafted:

2012
Highest – Trent Richardson, Cleveland Browns with the 3rd overall pick. Signed for four years and $20.49 million.
Lowest – Darly Richardson, St. Louis Rams with the 252nd overall pick. Signed for four years and $2.15 million.

2011
Highest – Mark Ingram, New Orleans Saints with the 28th overall pick. Signed for four years and $7.42 million.

I think he is gonna go. He has some reasons to go, but it is a tough decision for him.

I think he really wants to come back and whip some arse. Unfinished business.

But the reasons to go are there. The money matters.

There will be a lot more good backs going out next year. I think Tre is gone

The timing is perfect for him.

Normally a player in his boat should go for sure but Tre is a bit of a different animal. He doesn't need the money right now and while his stock isn't going to go way up it won't really go down either. He would have a real shot at the Heisman and a national title if he came back.

Obviously I hope he stays and can see why he would but I certainly could blame him if he decided to go. Just wish that 37 yarder would have led to the title and what would have been such a fitting final carry to his amazing season/career.

I wonder if Mason realizes what I think a lot of us realize. When Mason had the ball in the 4th quarter of the BCS NCG good things were happening. On our first drive in the 4th he had a 7 yd run, 7 yd run, then Louis -6, then Nick through the INT and FSU marched down and scored and we were only up by 1.

But Tre and Nick marched from our 25 to their 6, Tre was getting good traction, I think we had a good chance of a TD or first down with him running on the 3rd and 4 but we put Nick under center and then through an incomplete pass.

But then he and Nick do it again and they move the ball down the field and he scores on a 37 yard run.

He had it. He had the grand BCS NCG game winning touchdown, season is capped off perfectly, it's awesome, he should've gotten the Heisman so he poses, spiked the ball before that... but then DBs collide, short pass goes for 49... game.

No Heisman. No Championship. I just wonder if looking around at the rest of the offense (most all) returning, Gus, the more than likely chance everyone gets better he knows he'll be the front runner, he knows just him saying he's coming back would be a big spark towards a return and the first team to win the playoff, he'd be legend forever.

But the NFL is money and money right now. He'd probably be 2nd RB taken in second round. But RBs and the draft are not what they used to be. The NFL likes lineman, QBs, WRs and linebackers. RBs are a lot of money and don't seem to last long.

Legend or One of Many making $2-5 million over 4 years?

You're right. I think for every Auburn fan the fitting end was his TD run. If only we could have made a freaking stop, a turnover, a pick, a fumble, a sack, something. Had 1 guy just stand in the middle of the endzone waiting for the pass to a 6'5 WR to help Davis out. Something.

Should've, could've, would've, but damn was his run awesome.

In the 2014 draft I think he gets close to $5M, if he accomplished everything he wants to accomplish in 2015, he'll be $5M... but a legend at Auburn.

A good chance with being immortalized with a picture on the stadium and a statue outside of it.

I'd go. It really doesn't matter if his family doesn't need the money. He's in his early 20's with the chance at becoming a multi-millionaire.

I like Auburn too but not enough to turn that down.

Roster wise, no use in getting a logjam at RB too. Tre leaving lets the other RBs get going and lets the staff push the NFL angle on new recruits. Just my opinion though.

I can't disagree.

for the love of his team and Auburn, he stays.

but if he wants Barber, CAP and others to have a chance, then for the love of those teammates he goes.
