I never bought into the Tigers hype as a title contender in 2015, but no one saw their 6-6 regular season coming. The quarterback situation is still a mess, and Gus Malzahn's seat is getting a bit toasty. I think the defense will continue to improve as there's some serious talent, led by a really good defensive line with Carl Lawson and Montravious Adams, but the offense is still a concern. Running back depth took a hit when Roc Thomas decided to transfer, and I just don't believe in either quarterback option right now. The schedule this year is also no fun. Auburn opens with Clemson at home then there's LSU (home), Ole Miss (road), Georgia (road) and Alabama (road). I've got all of those as losses and think they could slip up at home against Texas A&M, Arkansas or Vanderbilt (yes, Vandy, I love that defense and that's going to be a slopfest).
Even if they go 2-1 in those home games, that's another 6-6 season. Maybe Malzahn has something up his sleeve and can make me look foolish, but I'm not bullish on the Tigers this year. Pick: UNDER

I think people are way too bullish on UGA. I think they'll struggle this year.

Disagree about UGA. I think we win that game.

Not sure where all the MSU losses are come from on people's projections. Of TAMU/Ark/MSU I'd think that was the highest win %

They literally fell off the map when Prescott graduated. I'm willing to bet they finish last in the SECw.

Pretty sure 10-9-6 decline in win totals is regressing as well. Been awhile since I took a math class though so I could be wrong

This is what stings. Getting tired of losing to these three on a regular basis.

Sarcasm?

I definitely think our defense can make that game appear "competitive." There is no way a road game against Bama's D this year will go well for us given our practice notes

Would be shocked by a 24-10 type loss in the IB this year with it 17-10 at some point in Q4

Agreed.

Georgia, Alabama and LSU have dominated Auburn lately.

If you are good enough to beat all 3 you can play for it all since we did both times recently and Bama has done it too.

I think our team is better than 6-6. If we were in the SECe it would be 10 wins.

Those same "experts" picked us to win last year, suck in 2013, be ok in 2010, be ok in 2004, to be really good in 2003. While I understand Auburn not getting a lot of love from analysts this year, I'll wait to see them play before I give this team last rites.

Yes, I'm posibarning.

Me too. I say that because that's just how Auburn is. I am not predicting 15-0, but I think 10-2 is very likely. Hell, I wouldn't even be amazed if AU went to Atlanta.

People who are saying 6-6 are either straight up retards or haven't watched Auburn for as long as I have.

most pundits tend to take the previous season into their opinions on the current season and let their own opinions of the previous preseason impact what they think this year. Phil Steele said something to that effect and it really makes sense.

not sure if you are kidding here or not honestly. While 6-6 isn't a good record, we could actually be a good team and lose 5 or 6 games this year, our schedule is just that tough.

Clemson has the best quarterback in the country and will put up points. We have them early and a night game at home, that is what falls in our corner int his game.

Bama will start slow again but hit a stride by the time we play them at the end of the year on the road.

UGA has tons of talent and we play them late on the road. If the game was at home, I would lean toward us right now but it isn't.

Ole Miss. I have no idea why everyone says they are really good. kelly is a good quarterback but they lost 3 first rounders and their best players at different levels everywhere on the field. They have a lot of talent but not much more than us right now except Kelly. Begin on the road makes it tough but this one is still a toss up.

LSU is at home but we will struggle to stop Fournette. The dude is good and our defense will have to do a damn good job of keeping him in check. If we can keep him hovering around 100 yards and 2 or less touchdowns, we can win this game.

Arkansas hates us and will bring their best game for us.

Sumlin is on the hot seat too and will throw everything he has at us.

Our schedule is just tough. That is why I'm not on the Fire Gus bandwagon unless our team just falls apart and he can't get them back. We played hard every game last year but it was a clusterfrick early and often with injuries at spots tough to recover from.
