Based on what? His <60% completion%, his single TD or his 1:4 TD to INT ratio?

But that is just actual production/stats. That isn't as important as hard to quantify vague terms like grit or ability to throw slightly above average accuracy throws. Clearly we were wrong about JJ in 2015, but Sean White is a sure bet winner/Damn Good QB.

Where's the stat that shows where White looked good while underperforming?

Can't leave that stat out. And Dilfer says he's good, so that's worth a TD or two at least.

If you adjust White's stats when you add in his Elite 11 MVP, Dilfer's evaluation, Lashlee sucking, and White looking good, and his bum knee then he's a super amazing QB. I'd say ~78% comp% and 15:1 td/int ratio.

Just a rough estimate. Hope this helps settle things

I'm not sure we'll have a qb throw 15 tds in a season as long as Malzahn is here. Hard to score tds from bubble screens

Based mostly on my opinion but also based on the two games he's played with terrible WRs while healthy. Am I not allowed to have an opinion on a player?

LO fricking L at that Jeremy Johnson comment. WTF does that have to do with White? Where did I call White a sure bet?

Well things that aren't true aren't stats

What seems to be lost on the SW hype train express, is that thinking he is even an above average QB/SEC solid QB goes against any logical reasoning

1) Teams don't bring in JUCO QBs when they have a solid to good returning starter at QB

2) Teams don't look for grad transfer QBs when they have a solid to good returning starter at QB

3) Solid to good QBs don't have to go to fall camp to win QB competition against raw completely unrefined JUCO transfer QB plus a . Especially when they had been a starter the year before

Sean White played fine when he was healthy. Was he a world beater? No. Was he a Freshman last year? Yes. White was not a bad QB last year by any means..he also played pretty well on one leg against Ole Miss. He's only going to continue to get better. He may not be the best QB in the NCAA, but he's damn sure no scrub. Our season next year will have a lot of deciding factors besides the QB position. Will the O-line be good enough, how will the young guys at LB step up, can our WR's produce, will Roc Thomas stop spinning. Yes the QB position is a big part of it, but all this we'er fricked at QB shite is annoying. If Sean starts I think we'll be in good hands.

somebody have the ability to erase marshall's 20 tds from 2014s statbook?

best qb to average 143 pass attempts per td

I've seen him compared to Nick Marshall. I don't give a shite if you think I haven't so I'm not going to sit here and argue it
neat. let's look at the things i've seen on here.

marshall is worse than todd
marshall will end up as a db
marshall was holding back the offense... it would be better if jj started
marshall is awful
marshall = kodi burns 1.5
peyton barber is better than mike dyer
tre mason is a scat back and not good enough to be an everydown back
avery young should play lt and greg robinson should play rt bc young is the most athletic tackle on the team
brandon fulse is a good blocker
jj will be a 1st round pick

could go on and on but you get the point about cherry picking comments then, yes?

either that or since i read that marshall was terrible then jf3 is also terrible since they are comparable?

I never cherry picked anything.

I've seen comments from people that truly believed he's similar to Nick Marshall. I'm only commenting on those people. No one else. I'm not sure what problem you have here.

White may be better than last year, but last year was nothing to get excited about...it is reasonable to have concerns. It isn't reasonable to think we will be doomed he plays and stays healthy either.

You're right, not a world beater. Definitely serviceable.

Was he a Freshman last year? Yes.

Not really. He was a sophomore that has a special designation due to his football eligibility.

White was not a bad QB last year by any means..

We established this

12/28 1 TD 1 INT

Probably not going to label that pretty well

He's only going to continue to get better.

Just like JJ, right?

You love making this point.I still agree, though.

Okay

Will the O-line be good enough, how will the young guys at LB step up, can our WR's produce, will Roc Thomas stop spinning.

- The OL takes a step back
- Which young LB? Looking like two old ones are getting the lion's share
- probably not

Yes the QB position is a big part of it, but all this we'er fricked at QB shite is annoying.

We're pretty fricked at the QB position. The debate over QB's isnt even about if any of them are good. We know they're all pedestrian. The fun part is figuring out which one will lead us into the fire.

If Sean starts I think we'll be in good hands.

Because he's no scrub, right?

Sean White isn't the answer. For one, Auburn has very limited options at wide receiver. Two, Auburn's tackles are nothing to smile about. No receivers, non-athletic quarterback running for his life due to a poor offensive line, questionable play-calling because Gus Malzahn has proven he won't adjust the the scheme to the player. And most importantly, Rhett Lashlee blocked me on Twitter so frick him.

Gus Malzahn's offense works best with a big-armed, dual threat quarterback that can run and take advantage with the deep ball when needed.

Chris Todd had 22
Cam had 30
Marshall had 14
Marshall had 20
JJ had 10 and only started 7 games, would've certainly had 15 despite his awful play

It's completely reasonable to have concerns about White. Never said otherwise. I see potential in White and think he could be the answer to our problems. I also think Franklin sucks and that some people have overhyped him.
