Al Borges' wife is the person responsible for us getting UA in the first place. She is the one who got our first deal done with them.

JJ wasn't the reason we got a good deal or at least not the only reason. Negotiation is mostly done by the general counsels office from what I understand
Well yeah, but you know what I meant

Jay Jacobs may be incompetent in some aspects but he is really good in others. I would prefer someone else but he does bring stuff to the table. I mean, look at the Arena (which we got donors to build after years of no one giving a shite about BBall) plus the indoor was put up about 3 days after the NC game in 2010 it feels like which is impressive he organized that so quickly.

I will give him credit just not where he doens't deserve it

addidas would be a huge upgrade in basketball and a slight downgrade in football so why is that such a bad idea if they were to offer the same amount of money as UA

Yep, which is why I wouldn't mind him with a position in the AD suited to his strengths. As far as being the actual director though, he needs to go.

Hopefully we can get back on board with Nike. More money and better equipment!

Did you not read the thread? Nike won't give us as much as under Armour does.

Never seen a truer acrostic than that one. Adidas has definitely turned towards a more Eurocentric brand.

Are you suggesting a German headquartered company is becoming more Eurocentric?

I think it is more Nike attempting to put a stranglehold on the market and the upstart Under Armour is a legit product line emerging from infancy. Adidas and their other holding Reebok simply didn't pick up on market shifts and are being squeezed out. All they have left is soccer
