I was alive and think I went to games under Bowden, even lived in the same neighborhood as his brother for a while, but Tubs was Auburn's coach in basically all my memory of Auburn football up until sophomore/junior year of high school

Off field analyst position opening up soon? That defense doesn't work much anymore but.

What defense? The 4-3? It still works pretty good pal. You must be thinking about GC and the Tampa 2 where we thought it would be a good idea to have J Holland responsible for the deep middle

I wonder how much BBQ they had to put in a pine box to get him to step aside?

Same except I never lived in Auburn before college and I'm a year or 2 older than you because I was a HS senior in the 2008 season. I remember some games that happened under Bowden, but I don't specifically remember him being HC. My conscious season that I remember where I actually watched games every week and knew who people were was 2000 with Rudi Johnson. So Tubs was the only Auburn HC I knew on the sideline from the time I was 9 until I was done with HS

Personally I just want him looking for HS defensive recruits.

He quit doing that when he was still the coach, why would we want to let him try again?
