Statistically things looked great tonight...objectively there is still some concern.

Where does the blame go?

1) Injured top backs? You can see we just don't have the explosion out of KJ or KP. I saw it out of KJ before the injury, Martin and Barrett...I also don't blame the coaches for not playing the young guys. JS still has happy feet, as seen on the fumble play. Learning Pass Pro for a back usually takes some time.

2) OL just isn't dominant? I lean toward this explanation as the biggest reason followed by 1 and 3. I am just not impressed with our OL.

3) RPO's make it difficult to block on the 2nd level?

We've damn near had a different Oline every game. That doesn't help.

It's going to be tough sledding vs. UGA and Bama Stidham may have to throw it 30 plus times

Our O line looked the best it has all season and that was against a good (not great) D line.

Kam Martin was injured last week. Pettway is not himself, needs to sit, KJ not 100% but I have no complaints.

I think #1 is biggest problem. Not having top 3 backs healthy hurts. Guys aren't exploding through holes or making plays of their own consistently. OL isn't elite but strong enough

With that said what KJ is doing at 80% is insane. We will never see it but a 100% KJ is really good

Miller looked good when he came in the game late. He had more burst than the hurt guys. That is what I dont understand. Why didnt Gus give hime or Barrett moar carries especially after Half. Run game would have looked better with that change of pace and fresh (non crippled) legs in 3rd quarter.

I think the biggest issue is lack of burst from injured running backs. Id like to see more off tackle runs as well.

I agree. We need to get him healthy for the late season. We are going to need him against UGA/bama.

I hope KJ has a light day against Ole Miss. We shouldn't need him.

that little short toss we run once every 4th game is always productive. looks even better with Golson out there.

Yep we ran the buck sweep with Pettway and he looked like he was running in quick sand. Hard to run off tackle when guys cant get to the edge cause they are hurt.

I heard Gus say after the game last night on the radio that Martin got "dinged up". Not sure what that means but take that for what its worth

If you really look at the running game, it was not great at all last night. Now you always take what the defense gives you but we do a workable running game.

We had around 250 yards rushing last night. IF you take out the Malik "Swag" Willis 67 yard run and the KJ 59 yard run, we only had around 120 yards rushing the rest of the game.

Its a combination of the OLine getting shifted around and the backs being injured. The good thing is, we have a passing game to lean on

Would like to see it improve

It was easy to see when KJ broke open early in the game. If he is healthy that's jets to the end zone. He was like oh shite. Now I have to really run and test that hammy

Yea, hamstrings don't heal completely for a little white. As long as he does not pull it again, he should be OK.

Just need everyone to get healthy...
