It really is amazing the 180 so many people are doing on Cam. The fact that anyone would think Blaine Gabbert was same level as him baffled me. No one seems to have as much fun on the field as Cam. Really hoping he can finish this season which would be a nail in the coffin for any of his detractors

I just realized that Cam will be the first Black quaterback to win the MVP outright.

He should definitely win it. He has he highest QBR in the league in the 4 QTR and OT. He became the only QB in NFL history this season with over 30 TD passes and 10 rushing TD's (his numbers are actually 45 passing and 10 rushing).

Supposedly the voting occurs between the end of the regular season and the first playoff game.
Its a regular season award and is not supposed to be influenced by performance in the playoffs (the playoffs have their separate awards).

I like Cam. He is a great athlete. He needs to have fun but not lose the all important character trait called humility.

Humility is defined as having a modest or low view of ones self importance.
Why the frick would anyone aspire to being humble/showing humility in their profession? If you are the most important player on your team, suggesting you don't hold that status is either lying or trying to mitigate blame
There is a difference between confidence and awareness of ones position and being an arrogant a-hole. You don't need to be humble to not be an a-hole

I agree, but I will say this...
The *one* genuflection that can be fairly made to the humility alter is to not take all the "credit" upon yourself. To share it with your teammates.
And Cam does that ALL THE TIME. He rarely toots his own horn (

You don't have to show humility/be humble to give proper credit though is what I meant. Accepting/acknowledging you are the most important piece is not mutually exclusive with acknowledging that there are other important pieces too
If Cam gave Nick Fairley some credit for 2010, that isn't being "humble" but honest/accurate. If he said Nick Fairley was the most important that would be "humble" and probably dishonest.

People don't seem to understand what the dictionary definition of humble (or humility) is. They think anytime someone gives proper credit to others it is "humble" and when they take proper credit for themselves it is "not humble"
To actually be humble, you either are purposefully lying/being dishonest about your role or you are too naive to know who deserves what credit. These people are shady mother effers. Imagine a king's advisor who glorifies the underserving king so the king likes him/keeps him around.
