This aspect of our O hasn't been as effective since OMAC left. Stove seems like a natural fit, and doesn't fall down like OMAC. Probably one of the more critical aspects to our running game. Fat Burt talked about it in his presser how it changes leverage, and forces the D to protect the ends. Glad to see it.

He lacked the ability to cut. Something OMAC, and what looks like Stove is great at.

He was very effective as our jet sweep guy. To say otherwise is just flat out wrong.

OMAC was better but that's not what I was saying

Stove looked great as our speed sweep guy against Arkansas. I would definitely like to see that become more and more a staple of this offense going forward. He had 106 yards rushing on 4 carries (I'm counting 12 yards in there that was considered a pass from JF3, but was clearly another sweep play). If you take away the 78 yards on the first play, he was still averaging 10 yards a carry on that play. Also, he had one juke move in the backfield on an Arky defender that looked like something I would do in the old NCAA game (RIP).

My question is, how are we going to get everyone the ball when KJ comes back? I love KJ and Pettway and want to see both of them mixed in there to display their strengths, but have also loved Truitt running the ball as well. Hopefully, we can continue to get him and Stove touches going forward and find a good way to mix everyone in.

Stove is actually a nice combo between the two.

Once these FR had a year in S&C, they will be that much better.

We have McClain w/ a RS, who is no slouch himself.

Can't give everyone touches, but I expect to see a distribution something along the lines of:

Pettway - 20-25 carries
Kerryon - 17-20 carries + 1-3 receptions
Other - 5(+ depending on score)

I'd kind of like to see some sets with Pettway and Truitt in the backfield together once Kerryon is healthy.

This. That 1st run of the game was all speed, but this run should have been a loss and stove made some great cuts. Stove looked great on his feet.

The coaching staff needs to keep playing him as long as he has the hot hand.

I may be wrong, but Stove looks faster than OMAC.

Corey was no Omac. He just didnt ever break out. Had potential but never filled that role
