How long did it take Petrino to turn it around at Arkansas with the biggest accomplishment being a Sugar Bowl loss to Ohio State?

About 3-4 years. Which is about 15-18 years faster and better than any other Arky coach has been able to manage since 1992.

national and SEC media hate Auburn already. If we hire Petrino then they won't give us a break at all. It will be a media shitstorm of Auburn hating.

Who gives a flying frick.. Some of you fans and your obsession with image..

As long as the new coach runs a clean program and coaches fundamental football, I hope he's the meanest most vile son of a bitch around that will speak his mind and not dance around media questions using coach speak.

You want to fire a coach that won a natty to replace him with a coach whose highest point in his career is breaking the SEC streak versus Ohio State. By LOSING to them. He doesn't even have to be a scumbag for me to not want him as coach, but that sure doesn't help his position.

Err, not directed at you Rig, meant more to reinforce the position held by the local soccer mom committee.

This. This. And this.

I don't give a frick about how the media or any other fanbase views us. As long as we win, and win the right way.

You guys can rationalize it all you want but Dr. G. can't make that decision because, no matter how you cut it, Bobby Petrino looks like a scumbag.

What about losing a few more games has made him any more attractive? He's still the same guy today as he was before the season started.

I could care less about what the media thinks.... Our program shouldn't be reduced to a mechanism for completely inept auburn lettermen and their friends to leech huge salaries.... I do not know who the heck thinks JJ should be retained but they are dead wrong. A scourched earth policy is what needs to be put into action within the AD... We have no leadership, until Tptb accept they aren't capable of running things properly we will flounder... Give a business and athletics minded professional the reigns and let him cleanhouse inorder to right the ship...

I don't want him, but if others with the power make him the coach, I will reluctantly support the team.

s. Auburn is already a national joke and y'all want to hire a scumbag for a coach who is ready a national punch line and has never beat the rival who is kicking our arse 35-0 right now

Going to be a short list of coaches if beating Saban is a criteria.
