Yes. Auburn is already a national joke and y'all want to hire a scumbag for a coach who is ready a national punch line and has never beat the rival who is kicking our arse 35-0 right now

A Petrino hire will make Auburn football permanently irrelevant

So who is out there that wins consistently and will come to save this dumpster fire? Seriously, I want to know who you think can make Auburn football relevant for more than one year and two miracle players. I'm fricking angry about the inaction and incompetence and tired of the lackadaisical attitudes of our administration and the blatant espousing of mediocrity by a fan base, SECrant posters aside. I'll chose not to conform to your banal and daft conceptions of what Auburn football should be. I'm done sending money to this school if the administration is simply going to tell graduates and fans to go kick rocks.

I'm not even going to argue with you if you truly believe Petrino is the ONLY answer to save Auburn football.

I think the administration is awful. I'll agree on that much.

So what are you going to do if the Patrino deal goes bad after a year or so? If he jets or fricks mup again or we don't get better.

I can hear it now. We sold our soul to the devil. Again. Bla.

Too much risk. We need someone who can build a program. Change the perception.

That is not him.

I don't think anyone here disagrees with you. However, hiring someone like Petrino is not the answer

Auburn has a serious perception problem going back to Cam all the way up to the NCAA investigation this week. On top of that we share a state with Alabama and will always have to fight for favorable media coverage, even in-state. Hiring someone like Petrino will confirm the perception of Auburn as the pathetic little brother trying desperately to keep up and I personally think Auburn is better than that . . .

I want a winner not a loser

Well, I happen to agree and think Petrino is the surest thing out there if we want to win.

If perception is what we care about then look elsewhere. But it will take some convincing for me to believe someone else would turn us around faster than Petrino.

We can put ths ugly debate to bed. I've got a bigtime source who is saying Petrino WILL be the next coach at Auburn.

Mark it down...

I don't even care if we hire satan himself, I just don't want to ever go into half time losing 42-0 again. Frick this bunch of losers.

How long did it take Petrino to turn it around at Arkansas with the biggest accomplishment being a Sugar Bowl loss to Ohio State?

Seriously, you guys don't think we can do better or have you bought into the, "no one wants to coach at Auburn" talk

If Rig is a soccer mom, then I'm definitely one.

And my avatar is a picture I took of myself.
