Yikes, sounds scary. I hope you get it figured out and whipped. I'm not sure I'd watch the game Saturday night, if I were you.

I am a proponent for weed as a solution to many medical conditions but sometimes weed can actually increase anxiety. now if youre having blood pressure issues weed works wonders.

Hang in there. If it really is anxiety, the good news is that it's quite treatable either with medicine and/or therapy of some sort. It will just take some time.

Having dealt with it myself on a few occasions, it's definitely uncomfortable and terrifying. Just don't let yourself think it will always be this way, because it won't. Sunnier days are ahead.

If it's a legit physical issue, hope you get that figured out as well.

have your iron level checked. you could be Anemic.

my wife had very low iron in her body, and she could walk 10 steps and feel like her heart was going to beat out of her chest.

she has been on iron pills for about 2 years now and it has made all the difference int he world.

Just a few weeks back I had to deal with an irregular heart beat. Comes and goes and was getting on my nerves. Usually a little fluttering, other times...... did you see Alien? After a few EKG's, a Stress Test, Myocardial Perfusion Scan, Echocardiogram, and a blood workup everything looked good. If there was something there the test probably would've found it so I'm looking at what I may be doing that could possibly be a trigger. Point being if they found nothing wrong that's a good thing.

If your hearts ok(tests) that's a giant positive. Don't let it get you down. No heart damage. Just have to figure out what's causing the acceleration.

quote:

Been feeling bad the last week heart feels like it's coming out of my chest. Went to my cardiologist and he put me on a higher dose of anxiety meds and a heart monitor for 24 hours on Thursday. Went back Friday morning and they said it was normal and did a chest CT to check for clots that was negative also. I can't get out of a chair and walk twenty steps and my heart rate is over 140.

Been there, brah. When I was in my 20's, I went to the ER one night thinking I was having a heart attack. It was fricking awful and I thought I was a goner for sure. I felt like I wasn't getting enough blood to my brain and like I was going to pass out at any second. I felt "out of my body" so to speak. I was telling the nurses to contact my family and tell them bye. Anyway, after a battery of tests, the doc said there was nothing wrong and sent me home.

I would walk around holding my wrist counting my heart rate. It would spike to 130 or 140 when I was just chilling on the couch. I wasn't an out of shape guy either (I'm pretty lean and in shape), so I couldn't figure out why I was having these "episodes."

A week later, I went to the ER again and got the same thing (nothing wrong with you, bro, leave us alone). Eventually the doc got sick of me and sent me to a cardiologist. He made me wear a monitor for a few days and could find nothing wrong either. At that point I was willing to accept that it was mental.

Anyway, I finally got on some psych meds to control this shite and I haven't had a severe episode in about 10 years. SSRI's can work.

Have you had heart problems before?

Been on meds for an irregular heartbeat for almost 8 years. Went to the doc again this morning and they did a nuclear stress test and just called me and said the doc wants me back in the morning. I really appreciate all y'alls kind words I am not one to start a topic like this so thank you all again.

asking for prayer is not selfish, its smart......just remember these words: "not my will but thine oh Lord"....they got me through cancer that had spread to the lymph nodes, almost 10 years ago....i was expecting to die
